Unlike some other countries where there is a definite barbecue season, in England and especially in Mecklenburgh Square, when there is the promise of at least 30 minutes of sun, no matter how cold, someone will be out on the barbecues. Not all of them come from South America and have access to choice cuts of meat, but such is life.
When I lived in London, I was in residence at a place called Goodenough College. No, I'm serious, that was its name. It isn't a quality indicator, but rather the last name of the founder. It isn't a college as most US Americans would understand it, there are no courses taught there, but rather it is a residence for Masters and PhD students working at any of the London universities. One or two lawyers as well.
Anyway, this year is the 80th anniversary of the college and they are celebrating the milestone with a book about the college's history. I was asked by the college and the publishing company to contribute some photography to the project and as such, this is my first official instance of publication. Well, I guess there have been other smaller things before this, clients personal promotion, newsletters, websites, etc. but nothing like a 200-page hardcover book. Now don't let me get carried away here, I was a contributor, not the sole photographer by any means.
Still, nice to be included in the big project. I figure putting it next to the Avedon and Stieglitz in the library was a fitting place.

Us at Goodenough College are doing a fundraiser for Nepal - feel free to contact here/PM me for A3 prints at £20 each.
Hope you get to know Nepal in the same way I did - by celebrating the strength of the people and the beauty of the nation.
