Goodenough College - a postgraduate residence and educational trust.
By Sir Herbert Baker & Alexander T Scott, and their successor Vernon Helbing. It was completed in three stages.
Grade ll listed.
This is Mecklenburgh Square elevation,
London House was established in 1931 by the Chairman of Barclays Bank and founder of Barclays DC&O, Frederick Craufurd Goodenough (1866-1934) - who raised the funds with which to found the Dominion Students' Hall Trust - as a place where students from the British Empire could live a collegiate life.

Margaret Jane the beloved wife of Joseph Goodenough minister of this parish who died Nov 12th 1834 and expereinced that Jesus is able to save them to the uttermost that came unto God by Him seeing her ever liveth to make intercession for them.
Also of the above Joseph Goodenough 18 years rector of this parish and perpetual curate of Nether Cerne who died 25th July 1842 aged 48.

Port talks are a regular occurrence at the college, the only real requirement for them being the presence of port and a speaker. Topics can range from Israel/Palestine relations to treasures hidden in Renaissance art frames.

Dinner at the college can often be an enlightening experience. I don't know many dinner tables where you will find simultaneous conversations about EU financial policies, modern art, baroque harpsichord music and yes, even the occasional bit of Scandinavian archaeology.
