Having a health club underneath your residence really leaves no excuse for being a couch potato. While some go for the machines, weights and classes, others tailor their workouts to be a little more intense...and defensive.

Unlike some other countries where there is a definite barbecue season, in England and especially in Mecklenburgh Square, when there is the promise of at least 30 minutes of sun, no matter how cold, someone will be out on the barbecues. Not all of them come from South America and have access to choice cuts of meat, but such is life.

The advantage of having one of London's pristine gardens right outside the front door is that members can take their exercise routines out of the gym and off the streets. A member running along the gravel paths is a common sight at all hours of the day.
