Especially in these days when people are so busy with work, it is hard to keep up with family as well. Just remember family is the MOST IMPORTANT part of our lives. Our children need our love, care, attention, education, good health, family life. All children deserve this WITHOUT EXCEPTION!!!! NO child should be left behind!!! Keep families together, don't separate them!!! To the huge corporations please remember that love comes before huge profits, remember that people are working for you, not robots, they have a private life and need to sustain families and need the time to give attention to their families!

In today's world our children need more attention and loving than ever. We need to give them the base for happiness, loving parents and family, a home, food on their plate, good health, bring them up in diversity, with a good education, give them the ability to be able to play, laugh and enjoy other children. As I was a guest of Pakistani leaders and was invited to teach and train peacebuilders, I didn't expect that I would be asked to celebrate the wedding of a couple (bride was an Australian citizen and the groom a Pakistani citizen), and I didn't imagine it would be conducted in the Catholic Cathedral. Beyond my wildest imaginings, but I did and it was. And it was both a high honour and a great privilege.
Tori no Ichi is a famous annual tradition festival in November on the day of the ROOSTER (TORI) in Chinese calendar and this event has continued to today since the Edo period.
The festival held at shrines and temples on set days (days of the rooster) and people come to pray for a good health, good fortune and business prosperity.
There are about 300 rake stalls in the yard of the Otori Shrine selling lucky rakes (KUMADE) decorated with colorful symbols of good fortune, believed to bring wealth to the purchasers.

This is a collaborative work done in collaboration with my 6-year-old grandson, Niko Felton and all the children from 0-6 who participated in the Ringling Museum Education Center painting activities on July 13, 2018. It was a pleasure to see the pure joy on the children’s faces while they were freely creating individually and together to make 3 beautiful large paintings expressing free will, the ability to cooperate, the fun of learning and interacting. The time passed by so fast and was time well spent, several of the children would have stayed longer had the time allowed.
It is one in a series I have started to help us realize how important the family unit is and that no-one should be allowed to break it up.
Reading so many articles about children being forcefully separated from their families through war, greed and hunger make me realize that we artists must address this issue head-on. No family should have to resort to becoming a refugee in order to have a country, a home, food, good health, education and the ability to make a decent living. We all belong to the human race and therefore should help and respect one another it is the right and decent thing to do. If every country in the world got together to achieve this goal it would be possible so let us make it happen.

The main reason why I wanted to visit this remote city in central Iran was this ancient 4500-year-old cypress tree of Abarkuh, one of the oldest trees and living creatures in the world.

It is no big stretch to imagine, this was one of the most grateful family gatherings in northeastern Colorado on Thanksgiving day.
The family was in good health, well fed and they were not on the menu at the family gathering I was headed to when I spotted the Gobbler family at North Sterling Reservoir, State Park.

No one likes needles- I sure don't! This is a water refraction shot using a needle and syringe. The drop is reflecting an image of blood cells behind it. Details: Macro shot taken with a 90mm lens. Syringe highlighted with a flash light during exposure. The goal was to take a macro (close up) while also including the syringe in the shot (or at least as much as I could). Zooming out defeats the purpose and results in the drop being to small.

I didnt like the Colour version so i converted it to black and white and reduced the temperature to emphasis the cold i was feeling ! !
