Some of the structures around Taj Mahal are stunning examples of Mughal Architecture and would've made fantastic tourist destinations by themselves. But, they are dwarfed both literally and in terms of their stature, standing next to the majestic Taj Mahal.
This building is one such example. It is part of the boundary wall surrounding Taj Mahal.

Week 46 Composition: Golden Triangles
As I was looking around the garden, CLOSE with my macrolens, I was inches away from this little guy without even seing him. Isn't that the way life is sometimes? Something you're looking for right under your nose, and you don't see it. Anyway. Here he is, unassuming, and cute as all get out!
Below the pool at The Anantara. There I was, lying in the grass, getting as close as I dare, clicking away, when one of the staff walked behind me and just said "vipers" and walked away.
No idea if he was joking!

I wanted to capture the symmetry of the Petronas Towers and its reflections but the subjects are just too huge to fit into the frame at 10mm focal length. Zooming out using my feet was not an option as I would have lost the reflections on the water and would have generated too much clutter in the foreground. But I always loved the flattering golden light so I have to make do with what was at hand! Before this frame, I also tried to capture this scene using a fisheye lens.

The Golden Triangle heads east light power after setting out cars at the Fiber Plant west of Columbus, Mississippi. #819 and #810 were two of four EMD GP38-2s ordered brand-new by Weyerhaeuser in 1980 for a logging operation in Washington state known as the Chehalis Western (CWWR). When the CWWR ceased operations in 1992, these two engines went to the Golden Triangle where they have remained in operation since Weyerhaeuser sold its railroad subsidiaries to Patriot Rail. The latter two CWWR GP38-2s, #817 and #818, went to the De Queen and Eastern in Arkansas, another former Weyerhaeuser operation.
Piggly Wiggly Grocers had entered the Beaumont market in the 1920s. I speculate that this store, on Magnolia Ave at Plum Ave., might have been built in the 1920s or early 1930s. At the time of this photo a local church owned the property. This was my first sightng of a concrete bas relief Piggly Wiggly sign. Beaumont, Texas. 5.8.2016.

Description: The image was shot during my 1st visit to Skybar in Traders Hotel this year. Though it is still in the rainy season, I feel that the blue hour provided enough impact to the image. The image is also part of a sequence of images taken for a cityscape timelapse which is available @ www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10151983149929811¬if_...

A John Deere combine harvests wheat that was previously cut and laid into windrows on a farm near Big Sandy, Montana.
The wheat was cut into windrows because much of it had fallen over after having been infested with the sawtoothed grain beetle, which eats the stem and thus makes it too weak to support the weight of the wheat's head.
