Liberation Day is a public holiday in the Netherlands, celebrated each year on 5 May to mark the end of the occupation by Nazi Germany during World War II. However, this year there are hardly any people on the streets to celebrate the 75th year of freedom after WWII.
Goeree-Overflakkee, 10 november 2022. In de verte de bakstenen kerktoren van de Catharinakerk. De 39,5 meter hoge toren is gebouwd tussen 1467 en 1512. Van 1552 tot 1924 heeft de toren gediend als baken voor de scheepvaart. In het begin maakte men licht door middel van een open kolenvuur. Op 26 februari 1834 werd op 45 meter hoogte een lichthuis en een optiek geplaatst. Het optiek is in 1879 vervangen. In 1908 werd de toren voorzien van een draaiend optiek met een pharolinegloeilicht met een lichtsterkte van 180.000 candela. In 1911 werd de vuurtoren gedoofd, omdat de Vuurtoren Westhoofd in Ouddorp in gebruik werd genomen. (Bron: Wikipedia)

A street that runs towards the large tower of Goedereede, Netherlands. The tower was built as part of a church, but the church no longer exists. The tower was historically used as a lighthouse and is now a museum.

3 weeks old. From the same Splunderfarm as Hebbes and Jochie and born next to the pumpkins. In Dutch we say Pompoen, so Pom is an abbrevation. Pom is from Goedereede (Goeree Overflakkee) in Holland and he was born on the 4th of October, World's Animal Day.
Haar or sea fret along the dunes. Haar is typically formed over the sea and is blown to the land by the wind. This commonly occurs when warmer moist air moves over the relatively cooler North Sea causing the moisture in the air to condense, forming haar.
