Axbridge is a small town in Somerset, England, in the Sedgemoor district on the River Axe, near the southern edge of the Mendip Hills.

Trying a daylight short with Gobe ND Filter,

Enjoying the beginning of the day from Mas Ventolà in this nice volcanic area of 'La Garrotxa - Olot'.

 

This is an HDR shot made up of 5 shots taken in autobraking mode (-1.4Ev; -0.7Ev; 0Ev; +0.7Ev; 1.4Ev). A 'Gobe' CPL Polarizer Filter was used. You can read additional technical information in my profile (about section).

It is a 80 sec exposure, achieved by two GOBE ND filters used simultaneously (ND1000 and ND8).

Partial solar eclipses are relatively common compared to total eclipses. They occur about 2 to 5 times per year somewhere on Earth. A partial solar eclipse happens when the Moon passes between the Earth and the Sun, but only partially obscures the Sun.

What started off with a torrential downpour and had to run for shelter, it ended being an absolutely glorious day, 11 mile hike from Seatoller to Keswick.
