Thank you all for your wonderful words, awards, and the group invites. I truly do appreciate them all!♥
I don't really know what it captured. It was very animated with leaps and fluttering while pecking at the grass. I know they eat snails, lizards, frog, snakes in addition to corn and etc. Could be something meaty and tasty in that root ball.
Not even sure that IS a root ball because the distance was too far and photo too cropped for a good fix on what the crane dug up. If any of my friends here know, please share.

I got no time for you
And all the things you do
No time for the nonsense
This here’s no contest
My limit’s not the sky
Go ‘on boi. Bye.
Got up yesterday morning at 4.30 in the hope of a good sunrise shot .... lots of clouds, maybe, maybe.... Not to be but I do like the sombre mood of this ... and hey I did get up at 4.30!!
This shot took me ages to get as the little guy just teased and tempted me with flitting around willing me to get a shot. I spent hours and got very hot (it was 38 degrees plus) but eventually I got a shot that I think was worth the effort and time.
... Got lotta enemies
Got a lotta people tryna drain me of my energy
They tryna take the wave from a nigga
So tired of savin' all these niggas, mayne!
Fuckin' with the kid and pray for your nigga

An 8 week old Archie here enjoying some 'catch the string' play. Shot in low light at a high ISO and despite the focus not being perfect, the pose just brings such a smile to my face that I have to share the shot! He is now almost 11 weeks old and has grown so much. I'll have to do another photo-shoot with my wee ball of fluff soon. Enjoy your weekend my friends!
I got a late start today, but I needed to get out. I went to my favorite butterfly field which has had an explosion of wild flowers in the last two weeks with all the rain we've had. There is nothing better than being in a field awash with waist high flowers at 1:00 PM in the afternoon when the temperature is 91 degrees F and the heat index is 100 degrees F, but this is when the butterflies are the most active. It is hard but I really do love it. There were dozens of long tail skippers, dusk wing skippers, gulf fritillary, clouded sulfur and tiger swallowtail.
how much pinkness can you take? not enough? here is your pink fix for today, lol!
gotta post and run for now. catch with you later my friends!!!

I captured this brilliantly colored Cattle Egret in its breeding plumage and was fortunate to get in for a closeup shot. Such colors on this beautiful bird!
Taken 19 April 2019 at Gatorland, Florida.
This Robin is about to "Chow Down" on a Sumac berry on a very cold day in April.
This weeks theme at Feathery Friday is.....can you guess?......Chowing Down!
