In the foreground is the head of a Mastadon, one of a pair of near-complete skeletons, and their tracks, found on a farm near Ann Arbor. Above, in the soaring atrium are fossil remains of two Basilosaurids, thought to be the precursors of modern whales.

The new Museum of Natural History, (University of Michigan, Ann Arbor) is modern and glitzy, with a lot of windows, atria, simple design and open spaces.

Years ago, I often visited the old, now-closed Nat Sci Museum, passing by daily as a student going to classes. Maybe it's just nostalgia, but I prefer the old, historic building that was crammed with exhibits, and housed in an architectural gem.

PosEd - "Sh*t Happens" single bento pose. Includes toilet, stacked/ and lap (optional) TP rolls, toilet scrubber and bowel cleaner. I mean what can I possibly say about this pose other than I feel like it was made for me. Available now only at the La Vie en Pose event, open now thru March 30th.

All the best for 2008!

This photo made it to #5 in explore on January 1, 2008. Thanks everyone!

Visited the Margaret Dow Towsley Sports Museum which showcases the history of the University of Michigan Wolverines Football Team. The museum is located in Schembechler Hall (1200 South State Street). I have driven past this museum a thousand times - and finally made it over. This was really cool - and I got to see the Little Brown Jug - the trophy for the winner of the Michigan-Minnesota Football game. Definitely will get back to this wonderful campus museum. Go Blue!

The University of Maine has a beautiful Campus, with the Stillwater River (part of the Penobscot) just at its edge, and acres of woods on two sides. Photographed using a Phantom 4 hovering over the Stillwater River at 300' AGL.

Here's a shot of Tajai taken on one of the twin railroad bridges in Columbus, Ohio. It's a panorama stitch of 48 images also known as the "Brenizer Method" or "bokeh panorama".

Hail to the Victors Valiant! Michigan began their season with a solid victory over Hawaii this past weekend. While the game was not supposed to be close, after many years of squeaking by or even losing games we should have won easily, this was a welcome treat. Who knows what this season will have in store, but the future is looking bright for the Wolverines!

This photo was taken almost exactly one year ago outside the Big House. I had been trying several times to nab a nice sunset from this location and finally my persistence paid off! I actually had the thought that I might be able to capture the team colors in the sky a while back, but was never in the right place at the right time. This was the reward, and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. It was our last Fall as graduate students in Ann Arbor, so it is also special for that reason. Go Blue!
