GO Transit referred to these former FP7s as Auxiliary Power-Control Units, or APCU's. They were sitting out the weekend at Guelph Junction in Campbellsville.

The 911 was built for the MILW and scrapped in 1995. The 903 was former Ontario Northland and it too was scrapped in 1995.

The 904 is also former Ontario Northland and was a bit more fortunate and was sold to Tri-Rail Florida in 1991. It was then sent to the Gold Coast Railroad Museum where it sits and rots in the Florida sun.

A GO Transit test train comes to a simulated station stop at St. Marys. GO is currently looking to implement service between Kitchener and London via CN's Guelph Subdivision, and crews spent the weekend running test trains for timing and platform measurements. Currently GO service ends in Kitchener, about an hour drive from London. It will be interesting to see if this comes into fruition or not over the next few months.

*2025 Mike now speaking, the service happened and lasted for about a year before being discontinued but unfortunately I was only ever able to photograph the test runs since the revenue runs were only on weekdays, because who would have needed to take the train for leisure weekend purposes right?

A bit of photoshop fun for Sliders Sunday.

Don't ask about the concept here because I'm not sure there is one LOL.

The base image was taken with an ND filter to get a long exposure which removed all of the traffic. The A380 is one of my stock one which I've used before. I tried to work with the proportions here where the wingspan is 80 meters.. Alas, the width of the M6 here is more like 45 metres (verge to verge) making the shadow's wing span approx 60 metres.. So, still a little short...

Anyway, thought it was (just about) worth sharing.. HSS.
