Die Laserinstallation "Global Rainbow - Der Frieden wird siegen" der Künstlerin Yvette Mattern leuchtete vom 27. bis zum 30.04.2016 über Berlin. Sieben Speziallaser leuchten vom Ernst-Reuter-Platz bis zur Siegessäule. Diese Kunstinstallation war schon bei der Transmediale 2010 in Berlin zu sehen.

Info (EN): In early 2024 this one bus was presented in public, before being destined to cover line 25 which connects Arinaga and Maspalomas. This bus was purchased in association with the ITC (Instituto technologico de Canarias) as a means of testing this technology in the island for two years.

Info (SP): La combinación Scania con la carrocerÃa Castrosua siempre fue la combinación de la que la compañÃa mas se podia fiar, y con el lanzamiento del nuevo Magnus E en 2010 la empresa encargo 15 unidades de 15 metros de largo que llevan prestando servicio desde 2013. Le seguirÃa otra remesa de 15 unidades mas en 2020 y 7 mas en 2022.
Info (EN): The combination of a Scania engine and a Castrosua body has been one which Global always could trust, and which the launch of the Magnus E in 2010 the company ordered 15 15m long vehicles which have been on the road since 2013. These would be followed by another 15 more in 2020 and 7 in 2022.

It looks like 1334 was the vehicle used for RU7A in 2016. The Scania K114s were fairly bullet-proof so a fairly obvious choice for being well away from base. It would visit all seven islands during the trip. It was imaged leaving Faro bus station on 15th March 2015 already vinyled up for the assignment. It was working service 30 to Las Palmas and had sustained some light panel damage to the lower side. (d13-1012f)

Info (SP): Como parte de la renovacion de la flota cuando Utinsa y Salcai se unieron, la empresa decidio apostar por la primera generación Magnus de Castrosua. Es mas, el primer vehiculo matriculado originalmente por Global fue un Scania Magnus. La unidad fotografiada pertenece al lote de 2003, el cual fue completamente retirado del servicio entre 2018 y 2019. Esta unidad, junto con la 1379, fue retirada en 2019 y donada a Guinea Ecuatorial para transporte escolar.
Info (EN): As part of the fleet renewal plan after Utinsa and Salcai joined into Global, they decided to invest into a range of lengths from the CS-40 Magnus range powered by Scania. In fact the first ever vehicle put in service by Global was one of such vehicles. The vehicle displayed belonged to the 2003 batch, which had all vehicles from that purchase retired between 2018 and 2019. This unit, together with bus 1379, were withdrawn in 2019 and donated to Equatorial Guinea as school transport.
Every time I drive by Global 4, these two units are sitting around not doing anything. Finally, I catch them ECRX 3009 and 3008 shoving back with a lengthy cut of cars. A trio of brand new UP SD70AH's can be seen in the distance.
