First, this is NOT a recent photo. I took it several weeks ago. However, on my way home tonight, we were having SNOW FLURRIES....in ALABAMA....in APRIL!
I'm not seeing the connection between global warming and the record cold temperature we're expecting tonight.

Info (EN): After testing the strength from the vehicles from the first generation, Global decided to place an order of twenty-two vehicles from the newest generation. Out of those twenty-two, twenty were 15m long vehicles. They mainly started out covering the callous 01 route; which takes an astonishing 4-hour-plus duration from point to point. Currently all but three of these powerful machines remain in service.

Esta unidad se adquirió a modo de prueba junto con el ITC (Instituto Tecnológico de Canarias) y estará funcionando dos años bajo el comando de la empresa interurbana
Info (EN): In early 2024 this one bus was presented in public, before being destined to cover line 25 which connects Arinaga and Maspalomas. This bus was purchased in association with the ITC (Instituto technologico de Canarias) as a means of testing this technology in the island for two years.

This produce display got me thinking about the modern--day supply chain. In North America we now have access to a multitude of fruits and vegetables regardless of whether they are in season for us. Look at the variety here and given that these are fresh produce, I assume they were shipped in by air - something that was not common for our parents and grandparents. Shortly after taking this photo, we bought a box of blueberries from a nearby display. Blueberries have just gone out of season in Canada but now blueberries are available, shipped from Peru. The fact that there is a local market for these unfamiliar (to me) foods is further evidence of our global village.
Food is extremely expensive in the Cocos (Keeling) Islands as almost everything has to be flown in on Toll Global Express cargo planes.
Generic or based on a real truck? So crude and basic its so hard to tell though I do think its bonneted styling is quite charming.

Whenever there's a glut of fruit, meat, vegetables or mushrooms we conserve as much as we can. It's very nice having a good food stash when the shops are far away. For me this isn't really living frugally - as far as we're concerned - we're rich !
