Roaming around Old Town back in 2014 when my cousin and her husband had come to town. As we came out of the San Felipe de Neri church we were greeted with this parked across the street at the plaza.
Did I catch a shot that would tell me the make/model? Of course not. After lots of googling, the best I can come up with is that it might be a Plymouth. There were Plymouth models which had grill work resembling this in the late 1940s. Wikipedia's photo of a 1948 Plymouth De Luxe comes close, and their photo of a 1950 Plymouth Special Deluxe comes even closer.

The Ghan train waiting at the Keswick Station this evening, to start its journey from Adelaide to Darwin.
NB. I mistook this train for the Indian Pacific in an earlier description written last night.
A church spire and two large cranes renovating our Uni Dental School (ranked #8 in the world just ahead of Harvard BTW). It is seen through pouring rain as our city welcomes students for the new semester and encourages them to stay at their desks studying :)
This is a near focus, far focus montage. I used to play with this back in film days as double exposure with change of focus.
CP 8781 positively gleams as it approaches Valois Station leading CP 133 (CP 8132 is mid-train). This edition of CP 133 is 12,600 feet long, weighs in at 9,400 tons and will be good to do 60 MPH on its way to Smiths Falls.
A short paved trail leads to this beautiful view, a stop along Hurricane Ridge Road in Olympic National Park. HFF
Bathed in the soft hues of sunset, polished pebbles lined Pokeshaw Beach, along the Bay of Chaleur in New Brunswick, Canada, glistening like tiny gems beneath a pastel sky. Time and tide have worn them smooth, each one a quiet witness to centuries of waves.

Amazing red hills of Rodefjord juxtaposed against a gleaming iceberg, Scoresby Sund, East Greenland. The rocks were formed over 300 million years ago (Carboniferous/Permian period) by erosion of the Caledonian mountain chain and then deposited as sediments. The iron-rich sedimentary rocks get their red colour from oxidized iron.

A row of beautiful Peterbilt trucks I pass when driving home from work. I've seen them all lined up looking great at sunset for a while so on this day I stopped and walked in and asked to take some pictures. The guys were very happy to let me loose with my camera on their rigs. They were clearly very proud of them. Canon EOS 6D & EF 28-80mm f/2.8-4.0L

The needles of a pinyon pine gleam in the light of the setting sun.
With no residual light in the Thompson, a westbound train illuminates rock sheds as it passes through the rugged, monolithic pinnacles of White Canyon. The heavy contrasted shadows in this long exposure photograph emphasize the detail and scale of the vertical rock formations.
I found this gem in an antique store in New Norfolk, Tasmania (the lens in the picture is an FD 135 f2.5 - I already had this lens).
I have a soft spot for Canon FD cameras and lenses - my first 'real' camera was an AE-1 back in the 1970's - I still use it occasionally, as well as my all time favourite film camera, the Canon A-1 (which currently has an Ilford Infrared film loaded). This AE-1 Program sits neatly in between these two in terms of features and capability - a real gem to use.
I've loaded an expired Kodak Ektar 1000 ASA film and we'll see what happens!

Operating on behalf of Glencore by Qube Logistics, this traffic was previously operated by Aurizon and then Pacific National before moving to a more "in-house" operation using Qube's accreditation.
The PRL class are ex Queensland Rail 2250 class locomotives, exported to South Africa by Aurizon and returned to Australia in August 2021.

Yes, it's a little weird to take a picture of my newly polished hardwood floors; but I recently hired a housecleaner after not having had one for quite a few years. She made me realize that I haven't been taking care of the floors as well as I should have! A friend came over for dinner a few days ago and asked whether I've recently had the floors refinished.
A win/win situation; my house looks perfect and I have time to spend on other fun activities!

Adult males are crisply patterned with gleaming white bodies and dark, iridescent-green heads for most of the year. The back is black and the bill red. Females and immatures are gray-bodied with a white chest and rusty-cinnamon heads..The Common Merganser, often called the Goosander in Europe, is the largest of the sawbilled ducks. All are specialist fish eaters. Common Mergansers are found throughout the northern hemisphere, and in winter can be seen in large flocks, sometimes of thousands of birds. In Europe they nest as far south as the Swiss lakes, but they are principally a bird of the northern forests, favouring fast-flowing rivers for feeding, roosting on nearby lakes at night.
