Has been the home of the Lyon family since the 14th century, though the present building dates largely from the 17th century. Glamis was the childhood home of Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, wife of King George VI. Their second daughter, Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon, was born there.

Just for fun. This was taken with my K20D and a 55-300 mm lens from just over a kilometre away. It was a hot day, hence the blurry effect due to the heat waves bouncing off of the metal siding on the 'vator. I've cropped the original to a 16*9. I think it's rather "artistic", especially as I much prefer more clarity in my images. What do you think?
