Unlike most parks, Glades Garden isn’t open every day of the year. The public can only visit at specific times and on certain days including when there is an open house, on weekends in the summer and on special event days.
The beautiful Glade Creek Grist Mill at Babcock State Park in West Virginia. I was really hoping for a wintry scene. It was snowing heavily as I drove along I 64, but as I approached the state park the skies cleared.

Dramatic infrared skies over a small forest clearing.
Full disclosure, this photographing IR with a 1/2.3-inch sensor might be partly about making it more difficult when I am bored. It is genuinely fun to push skills with old gear, and Lumix cameras are a joy to use from a human factors standpoint. But for those of you just getting tired of it, I apologize. And I have some more color stuff I am excited about too. It just might get worse before it gets better — from that standpoing. 😅
These lovely Hellebore's were low to the ground and hanging down so somewhat difficult to photograph. But lovely all the same. With the FFF+ friends at Forest Glade Gardens, Mt Macedon

Belle Glade is a city in Palm Beach County. As wealthy and as white as Palm Beach is, that is as poor and as black as Belle Glade is
The original plantings cover the 5-acre garden, and contain over 1,600 mature rhododendrons, azaleas and companion plants. Some of the rhododendrons are more than 6 metres (20 feet) tall, and are ablaze in colour in the spring. The garden also contains a superb collection of fine trees, many of which are now designated as heritage.

Autumn colour is rather late this year. It's an eccentric season; certain parts of forests are already in full colour, while others are indistinguishable from September. This woodland glade, on the West Sussex High Weald, is just showing the earliest signs of yellow, orange and red. I saw the potential in this scene last year and earmarked it for an autumn visit. I rather liked the conjunction between coniferous and deciduous trees on opposite sides of the glade. After dusk, two Roe deer in their early winter coats emerged from the bracken fern. It would have been lovely to have included them, but we can't have everything. I'm still looking for deer in autumn scenery, but, such is the fickleness of nature, I cannot guarantee I'll have anything to show you.
The path winds through a carpet of Wild Garlic, in flower, to reach the middle of the clearing.
The subtle aroma, a few birds, the vague noise of a busy stream somewhere in the distance. And the infernal noise of a bracketed sequence of shots!
Oaks, Shropshire. Late April. Went for bluebells, came back with garlic. Not a bad deal, really.

Belle Glade, Fl is the depository of all that is not well in a county (Palm Beach) that should be ashamed for even its existence
In 1980, Belle Glade had the highest rate of aids per capita in the US.
Beautiful Demoiselle (Calopteryx virgo) - male from yesterday
Another short jaunt to take advantage of the sunshine added 3 species to my count; Banded & Beautiful Demoiselle and Scarce Chaser.
Only one of the latter, flying and feeding over the meadow, and along the treeline briefly., Although the Demoiselles were reasonably plentiful the numbers were well down on previous visits at this time of year.
Not a lot of opportunities, however the sightings of Orange-tipped and a lone Painted Lady brought a smile to my face.
This shot is my favourite from the visit.
