The hurricane Lothar from 1999-12-26 is most probably responsible for this glade, as it chopped of a lot of trees also in the Bremgartenwald.

The healing of the wounds shows a lot of biodiversity, as can be seen in this picture.

Woodland glade in Sheringham Park with light coming through the trees

Found this driving the back roads of West Virginia. Wasn’t in operation this early in the spring though.

Beam from the dying sun reaches through to the hidden mosses and ferns.

One of those amazing places deep in forest. Ancient stupms covered with moss, magical sunrays coming through the massive trees and I could swear there was a pixie sitting there. But when I checked the picture later in my computer, she was gone...

Descending back from Bennachie with all the snow, we drop through the snow line and there's absolutely no sign of snow at lower levels, just this beautifully sunny glade among the pine forests.

This is the end of the walk, so it's back to the car and home so I can get some lunch!
