Capture d'écran de Google Earth en rapport à mes publications précédentes...

www.flickr.com/photos/192977168@N06/54808885991/in/dateta...

dizzib.github.io/earth/curve-calc/?d0=42.47&h0=46&amp...

... à ce détail près que nous pouvons voir des hauteurs de ces édifices qui, normalement, selon le calcul de ladite courbure, ne devraient pas être visibles !

Github has an interesting take on the oval office as their own lobby.

The long awaited Github stickers have arrived. If you're curious as to what took so long, Scott Chacon explains.

Unfortunately, they weren't here yesterday in time to come to RORO with me so they'll probably be distributed randomly to interested parties as I see them over the next few weeks. One is going straight on my laptop when I get home, so if you want one of the other 9 and I'm liable to see you about at Jelly or WSG or something, let me know.

I'm not making any promises, though, it's strictly first come, first served!

A dummy load. Peak current is 5A. That is currently (hahaha) limited by using only 5V as the reference voltage for the opamp.

LTSpice simulations (with a different opamp) showed possible oscillations at a set-current of above 2A. I had to add another BW-limiting capacitor to the opamp that drives the MOSFETs. If I'm lucky the real thing won't need it. If it does I'll have to bodge it. I won't immediately order the V0.2 PCB for that. I only need one working board for personal usage.

There's oversized and there's just plain ridiculous!

I'm pretty sure they are deliberately taking the mickey here!

Ruth 2.0

marketplace.secondlife.com/pt-BR/stores/195415

Ruth 2.0 is a scratch-built, open-source, Opensim/Second Life compatible mesh avatar designed by Shin Ingen. She includes Blender (.blend) files, DAE exports, template textures, skins, and eventually will include scripts and HUD. The goal of Ruth 2.0 is to make a high quality, 100% free mesh avatar that can use accessories from other quality mesh producers.

Help Needed

This is a new project and is still under development. Please volunteer to help! Collaborators can help in many areas. These range from general advice on what is needed, bug chasing, weight painting, skins, mesh making, scripting, and so on. As just one example, if you know Gimp, or Photoshop, we need help converting these many free skins into PNG textures, and then into in-world skins that are ready to wear. In world conferences are needed, too. to help spread the knowledge included in here into new products.

SkipTo:

paypal.github.io/SkipTo/

This one comes to you via colleague Jane Berliss-Vincent, a wondrous lady

deeply engaged in assistive technology, although this particular find it

more of a web accessibility tool. One of the oldest tips in web

accessibility, right up there with descriptive text for images, is a "Skip

To" link early on in the web page code to skip screenreader users over the

navigation menus direct to the most important content. It never ceases to

amaze me how many web sites still fail to include a skip to link (or ALT

text for images!).

This SkipTo widget is from the folks at Paypal, who are surprisingly open

with a lot of their code, and a very active and rich Github site. 99 code

repositories? 99?! Wow.

Github: Paypal:

github.com/paypal

They have the widget source code available, and JavaScript & CSS versions,

Greasemonkey, a bookmarklet, and pre-built plug-ins for both Drupal and

Wordpress. It depends on ARIA landmarks in the page to build the menu, so

if you aren't already using accessible code, it won't do its magic. Once

you have it going, it activates when a person uses the Tab key to navigate,

and supports access keyboard commands.
