someone expecting something good to happen. The best things

in life are selfless acts. The ones that you don't want anything

back but to see someone happy. I also believe Karma is the

best thing ever in the world. It will come back on you when

you think you're free of something you have done.

Happy Mother's Day to all kinds of mothers.

William Clemens established the Virginia Clemens Rose Garden near his home on St. Cloud’s south side 27 years ago as a way to improve his wife’s view from her home. Virginia had a real passion for rose gardens and despite suffering from multiple sclerosis for 40 years, her desire to appreciate the beauty of nature was unquestionable. Because the disease weakened her and made it difficult to travel, her husband Bill Clemens created Clemens Gardens.

The Virginia Clemens Rose Garden proves a lasting tribute to the equally strong and generous woman with 1,200 rose bushes. A bronze statue depicting William and the late Virginia Clemens also stands at the entrance to the St. Cloud rose garden that bears their name.

I met Jacob during my recent trip to Kenya. Jacob is a very kind and intelligent boy but he has a condition called Aplastic Anemia in which his bone marrow does not make enough new blood cells.

Jacob has just arrived in India where he will be getting a bone marrow transplant. His brother is a perfect match. Bone marrow produces blood cells that carry oxygen throughout our bodies and produce platelets that help blood to clot in order to stop bleeding. This procedure will replace damaged or destroyed bone marrow with healthy bone marrow stems.

Between Kenya and the US, $55,000 has been raised so that Jacob can get the bone marrow transplant. Five-year survival rates for patients who receive transplants have been shown to be 82% for patients underneath age 20. This week's 52 weeks Theme is "I Wish....."

For this year I cant think of anything better than wishing for the gift of love - not only for my family and friends - but everyone else as well....

We have so much to be thankful for and first and foremost is the Cross...then all the other blessings fall behind it!!! St. John 12: 32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. He "was" (lifted up) on the cross and we "are" (drawn to Him, Jesus Christ) because of it...we are blessed!!! What a price He paid to build a bridge from sinful man to a Holy God... thanks can never be enough... belief... asking forgiveness... then service and faithfulness... and the greatest commandment that we love one another (St.John 15:12)!! Wishing you a blessed and beautiful day... praying for those of you who are sick and who have loved ones that are sick.. it is so hard to see those you love suffer!!! Prayer is a powerful tool and our means of communicating the desires of our heart to our Heavenly Father!! The Flickr community has needs and as Flickr friends it is so important to support and pray for each other!!! Do not want to name names because there are several and God knows who they are but we do have some with children that are ill and spouses that are ill and themselves who are suffering... pray that God will be with each one and touch them and their families.... thank you very much!!!! This Cross was built by the Jim and Doris Studer Family as a thank you to God for all the blessings bestowed upon them during their life. Construction was by Steve Jansa of Jansa Construction, Rowena, Texas. It was erected October 6th & October 7th, 1993. The Cross stands 100 ft. tall and is 70 ft. from arm tip to arm tip. The part above ground weighs 50 tons and there's another 100 tons of material buried for support. At the base is a sort of pavilion with a guest book for visitors to sign. The Cross can be seen for miles during the day; it is illuminated with lights at night.

To all Great Barks around the world, I welcome pawticipation to the project. I'm hopeful that 2013 will be an exciting year with more great barks being heard from all around the world.
