The front design is made of two rubber stamps (both from Berlin) and a penstroke with a nib pen.

Here are 3 great books that I'm inspiring my students to absorb throughout the summer. Ideas are to be shared and expressed among each other to come up with a big idea. Once that big idea is agreed upon, we then create a project. From there, there is a daily action method of getting things done.

What does it take to build a footbridge? Start with one piece of wood, followed by another. Add some careful measurements and a steady hand with a saw (measure twice, cut once!). Grab a partner, and plank by plank, nail by nail, a creek is now crossable: the trail can continue on!

Today I toasted my bread, then warmed it all in the microwave briefly. It ended up making it really delicious! Had honey wheat pretzels, a mandarin orange (not pictured), and Swiss Rolls on the side. I even treated myself to a Diet Coke for lunch today.

Getting in to chapter one in the GTD book. Even got to knit on the scarf!

From little seeds grow mighty trees.

Where do your roots grow? Are they deep in your hometown community? Or do they reach far and wide, gaining nutrients from different soils?

The grass took over last year.

This is what my so-called workspace used to look like before I started to reorganize. On the right hand side is my printer (blue tapestry) and VCR (brown tapestry), and the left hand side is the nightmare of stacks of scholarly articles and unresolved mail/bills, etc.

There's two piles of in-basket hidden behind a rolling cart.

There's nothing quite like an empty inbox.

Used as a music player, of course; but also as a little PDA.

I'd like to use it as a little note taker, to replace the Molsekines I've been carrying for years. With a note program and (using microphone headphones) a voice recording app, I think I'd actually take more notes than with a Moleskine.

Also, iCal. I am still in love with it.

Not to mention, being as how I'm more or less in a permanent wi-fi zone, trying fring as a phone app. I don't talk on the phone that much anyway. Could save a little money.

This would normally be refreshing except that it's contents are about 10% of the things I let pile up.
