Didn't have time for today's shot, so I took a quick one during the last minute of my late lunch break. After getting home and starting on this edit, I recalled something a coworker said earlier in the day: "It's already the end of the month." Wow, 2 months of 2009 has already gone by in a flash! 5 years ago, I wouldn't have imagined myself fixing wearing a tie and yet, here we are. Looking at myself in the original photo, semi-sepia came to mind-an older look with just enough color left to see. Hmmm...kinda reminds me of something else.

And still, we can only go forward. Like a roller-coaster, at some point you do not go up but down, at some point you stop growing and you start getting older. It happens so slowly that one day we will all wake up, look in the mirror, and not know the old person that looks at us back. And that is okay. Because all rides have to end.
