The Wood Duck chicks are getting bigger, but she is missing three. Kevin Fox took a picture of them on 6-16-18 and all twelve were there. Keeping our fingers crossed no more disappear. Peace Valley Park, New Britain Pa.

Get off my tree!!!
This Brown Creeper has been a regular visitor to my yard in Chester County, PA right through the Winter. Recently I noticed a second Brown Creeper and I thought they might be a pair until I witnessed my resident bird adopting this threat display when the second one got too close, and then subsequently chasing the intruder away.

During our sailing days on Georgian Bay, we often had to get our bearings using the onboard navigational tools and lining up the range lights when coming into a port. Landforms were very deceiving when you saw them from offshore. This range light is found in Southampton on Lake Huron. It will be a few weeks yet before this light sees any boats coming into port.
I've had a great week off from work but today I need to get my bearings for Monday morning when I pack up for another work day!

Caution...when someone tells you to get a grip...apparently around their neck is not what they meant:)))
I get so lonely
Can't let just anybody hold me
You are the one that lives in me, my dear
Want no one but you
Well we were further up the Chilliwack Valley and decided to take a right on some random 4x4 road in chase of a distant peak. Neither of us knew what we were in for. The road got icy and the temperature fell well below 0. We chased until the road was too overgrown to continue. This was the view of Mt Redford we were greeted with. Keep exploring. Kris...
Father Christmas put an ND filter in my stocking last year, but as everyone who follows me will know, I'm not technically minded, so I had to google what this was and how to use it.
This was my first attempt, which for me, didn't seem too bad, but I would be very grateful to receive any comments/advice/tips on using an ND filter, as I plan to venture off to the coast again this week and might have another 'play'.
Thanks a lot ... and Happy Easter
"Pardon", I said. Then she repeated, "You might want to get out to capture that weather". That was more than I originally heard, however out I jumped. We pulled out across the highway in a large safe area. I wanted to include the roadway as a bit of a leading line. The extreme brilliance of the shot meant no tripod would be required.
It was a weather front that was coming toward us, but still miles away. When we got back on the highway and drove in its direction, even the mountains seemed to disappear into this monster.
On this stretch of the famous “Mother Road”—the primary US highway connecting the Midwest and West Coast from the 1920s through the 80s—the road is a pair of roadways—the now unused old road (where I stood to take the picture), which was washed out in several places west of Summit Valley by the floods of 1938, and the “new” road, on the left, built as the original road's replacement. As you can see on the hillside near the center of the image, an enterprising local rancher has cleared away the brush in the form of a “66” to commemorate the famous highway, across which generations of Americans migrated west, especially during the Dust Bowl of the 1930s.

Get Up
Song by Shinedown
Get up, get up
Get up, get up
Get up, get up
Get up, get up, get up, get up
I know you're clinging to the light of day
To tell you everything's a-okay
And medication don't do much
Yeah, it just numbs the brain
Guess you might say I'm a little intense
I'm on the bright side of being hell-bent
So, take it from me, you're not the only one
Who can't see straight (can't see straight)
If you were ever in doubt
Don't sell yourself short, you might be bulletproof
Hard to move mountains when you're paralyzed
But you gotta try
And I'm calling out
Get up, get up
Get a move on
Get up, get up
What's taking so long?
Get up, get up
Get a move on
Stop stalling, I'm calling out
Get up, get up
Get a move on
Get up, get up
Ain't nothing wrong
'Cause I believe you can be whatever
And I agree you can do much better, trust me
Everybody wants to sing their song
So, Marvin Gaye, "What's Going On?"
Ain't nothing normal when it comes to you and me
I'd rather twist myself in knots than watch you give up on your dreams
If you were ever in doubt
Don't sell yourself short, you might be bulletproof
Hard to move mountains when you're paralyzed
But you gotta try
So I'm calling out
Get up, get up
Get a move on
Get up, get up
What's taking so long?
Get up, get up
Get a move on
Stop stalling, I'm calling out
Get up, get up
Get a move on
Get up, get up
Ain't nothing wrong
'Cause I believe you can be whatever
And I agree you can do much better, trust me
Yeah, I don't know why I never talk about it
I guess that's probably part of the problem
Yeah, sometimes you're wrong, sometimes you're right
Just gotta keep moving
Yeah, I'm just gonna keep moving
Today, tomorrow, gonna get
Get up, get up
Get a move on
Get up, get up
What's taking so long?
Get up, get up
Get a move on
Stop stalling, I'm calling out
Get up, get up
Get a move on
Get up, get up
Ain't nothing wrong
'Cause I believe you can be whatever
And I agree you can do much better, trust me
Get up, get up
Get up, get up, get up, get up
Don't ask me how, but guess who hit the big time
Don't look now but guess whose back in town
It's so easy don't even have to try
Your the winner you can take the prize
It's a dream come true which one will it be
It's a dream come true we'll just wait and see
Only the lucky one's get to steal the show
Only the lucky one's really get to know
Only the lucky, Only the lucky one's get Lucky
Same old story somethings never change
With a beautiful girl everything's prearranged
Your whole life it comes to you for free
You wear it well it comes so naturally
It's a dream come true which one will it be
It's a dream come true we'll just wait and see
Only the lucky one's get to steal the show
Only the lucky one's really get to know
Only the lucky, Only the lucky one's
Don't ask me how, but guess who hit the big time
Don't look now but guess whose back in town
It comes so easy don't even have to try
You're the winner you can take the prize
Lucky ones
Only the lucky one's really get to know
Only the lucky, Only the lucky one's

At the time of taking this I was pretty fed up that this great egret that I was watching had turned it's back to me, I had been watching it for quite a while walking around with this fish, I didn't realise that this particular shot was worth a second look until now, so there is a lesson there to go back and look at what you got again.
Adult male Bald Eagle hopping up out of the nest. There might be from what I heard, iat least one chick this year. I'll go back in a couple weeks to see. Upper Bucks, PA.
Thank you Photoclub for the incentive to get out and try something new again... ♥
So they said let's get physical and sweat. Have you ever done Yoga? They teach you healthy mind/healthy body and visa versa.
So here you go... and you can't go have the burn without your friends in arms with you... One zonked out 15 minutes into the exercise. One started to combust... and of course my faithful little buddies dancing on the music box. Meow decided now was a good time for a cat nap in the sun
🎼: Let's Get Physical ~ Olivia Newton John~
Let's get physical, physical
I wanna get physical
Let's get into physical
Let me hear your body talk, your body talk
Let me hear your body talk
Let's get physical, physical
I wanna get physical
Let's get into physical
Let me hear your body talk, your body talk
Let me hear your body talk
Some honourable mentions: Rezz Room for the combustable Pug and my cat; Aardvark for my little critters (they are my heart ♥); Synnergy Tavis for the back drop; Thank you to the other designers for my hair.. clothing etc.
Found this black-crowned night-heron getting into position for hunting in the marshy shallow water. They can be quite patient too, sometimes found hunched over in the same position for an extensive time while waiting on some type of aquatic delight. They will defend their "hunting grounds" or territory as well, should another opportunistic feeder come along.
What I find most fascinating about them is that quite striking red eye ... they simply grab my attention.
Happy Sunday everyone!

Part of my enjoyment in my photo enthusiasm is in the post processing phase. I enjoy editing to get the image to look the way I feel it presents itself best. But at other times, and quite often I leave well enough alone and go SOOC.
Here I especially like how all the individual elements near and far create new interrelationships with one another when flattened upon the picture frame. Yes, all those poles, but here the water tower and traffic cone are a half mile away from each other, but in the shot they are buddies. Add in that tree and let's have a party. -- throw in a red reflector as the fulcrum and let's swing.
did someone say triangles?
Get to a vantage point in Bagan and you'll immediately notice the countless pagodas and stupas around you. There's more than 2000 of them, built between in the 11th, 12th and 13th century.
