"In Memory of George Augustus Wetmore, Who died June 25th 1789, Aged 14 months. Early, bright, transient as the morning dew, He sparkled, was exhal'd & went to heaven" 2 rubbings of the same stone, in Grove St. Cemetery, New Haven, CT.
George is originally from San Luis Obispo, but has spent most of his life in the Bay Area. He didn't have a lot to say, other than to tell me that he has a sister who lives on Treasure Island that he visits frequently. I told him about the $2 Portrait project and gave him the URL to look it up the next time he visits his sister. I hope he likes this portrait.

St George, triumphant, above the dragon he has just defeated. Arts & Crafts glass in Ely cathedral. This pairing of St Hubert and St George appears to be unsigned. They are very much in the style of Christopher and Veronica Whall but not listed among their works but clearly belong to the same school of glass-making.
George has been a very good rabbit. He doesn't love it here but he's doing great! He's still as cute and affectionate as ever :)

George has been such a good bunny lately. He recently started giving little licks and kisses on the nose when I put my face near his cage or playpen. It's too sweet :)
