Today is a milestone day for me, it is day 1,460 which happens to equate to 4 years of daily photos. I currently have no intention of stopping and feel like I am just beginning to understand certain concepts. There is so much more to explore on this journey and I hope I can create images that move the viewer in some way, it is a lofty but worthwhile goal. There are many people who have been so kind and supportive and I appreciate all of the comments and responses to my questions.
Worked on using textures again today, still my freebies from 2 'lil owl studios. Feeling like I may have made this a bit too dark but time to be responsible and move on.
I like the geometry of the bridge and buildings in this photo taken in Austin, Texas. The Town Lake running trail runs along the banks of this lake, and is one of my favorite spots to enjoy a relaxing early morning run.

"Mighty is geometry; joined with art, resistless."
Quoate - Euripides
About 10 years ago, I folded this geometric decoration twice, (so you see a colored back and front), put them in the origami booklet and forget about them. While looking for another model I came across them again ;-)
I still like both sides equally. You could use it as a brooch, but with firmer paper folded or varnishing them.
These are folded with a patterned paper, 5x5cm.
The background is a sheet of green Unryu paper.

HMM measurement "macro mondays" (9/24)
remember when they handed you the compass and the protractor for making circles, then measuring the number of degrees? the pointy one is the compass-- you're welcome
Esta cúpula la descrubí en una macrotienda de ropa en Barcelona y , me impresionó , es toda acristalada , así que pedí permiso para fotografiarla y , aquí la teneis , he intentado que se vea como yo la vi.

For this weeks Macro Mondays theme 'Geometry Shapes' - a detail of a lace creation made by my mum - it's actually the eye of a bird she made a few years ago. I liked how many different shapes made up the whole.
