A star is sunk. A pretty good approximation of a pentagram using only rule and compass (approx 10 meters diameter)

One of my favorite bar patterns. Wola - the workers quarter. Between 50's and 60's - ad least conceptually. Reminds me fabric and porcelain decorations from that time.

A bit of window bars typology from my W-wa project. Besides of being interested in the variation inside of homogeny I find this case particularly valuable because it shows clearly the functional aspect of beauty - the "protective" bars that have initially visually/emotionally oppressive presence are converted into aesthetical artifact so into a mental trampoline to The Pleasant.

Picture from my just published album about Warsaw “W-wa” the book explores lyrical - symbolical aspects of the urban reality. There is a lot of geometry, minimalism, and totemic cases in it. Limited edition: 500 copies. Pictures taken mostly between 2000 - 2005.

Geometries in Perspective

This is 5 RAW portrait shots taken on my 450D with a Canon EFS 10-22mm lens, which have been stiched together in "Canon Photo stitch".The image was tweaked in "CS3 extended" to get the one point perspective sense.

I wanted to show the geometries in the urban context and the colours are quite distracting when we're looking at the image so I removed it.

I used the "Silver Efex Pro" (www.niksoftware.com) for the B&W effect.

WIT:

You don't have to comment on this photo, because I deleted the last one (that worm thing scared me after a while). But on a deeper level, I post things here sometimes for the wrong reason. This time I'm submitting it because I believe in it and don't care if anyone else wishes to validate it.

Right now I'm very stressed. I just became incorporated as a photography business and I'm applying for project grants to show in galleries. The gallery owners are all about money and product, and so I've been really trapped in this. My mission is to provoke storytelling in my community with the photos I create. Storytelling that provokes thought and opens minds to new ideas.

Then I saw this star flower on the ground. Lately I've been finding a lot of things on the ground, and think these things are sometimes very important. This flower is in a glass by my computer to remind me of what's important. I love all the submissions this week and always look forward to seeing what you all produce, and I'm also so amazed at how confident most of you are.

This is SOOC, except for a crop and a slight alteration in white balance.
