2011 - Grand Hyatt's Cancún ceiling. Each circle is a floor, and in the the center, a beautiful skylight.
I enjoyed the little plants growing around the water cover cap. Beyond that the textures, colors and geometry of it all really inspired me.

I was a very very lucky boy this year and received a new D7100 for my birthday, its taking a bit of time to get used to the new buttons but with the help of the huge manual I bought I should pick it up soon enough.

Another shot from Barcelona from MACBA. All of these shots were handheld at anything from ISO1600 to ISO6400 using a Fuji XT-1 and an 18-135mm lens - which I have to say is just about the most perfect travel lens.
This shot is another exploration of shapes, light and shade.

Respecting the configuration of the soil and its biodiversity with more than two hundred plant species, walking paths with benches were built for relaxation in a wide variety of colours, excotic and aromatic scents.
Its unique views of the sea and the old towns of Rovinj, Vodnjan and Bale followed by the beautiful landscape of Mount Ucka and Cicarija, offer a fabulous experience of the idyllic Istrian environment.

I'm probably going to shoot these again, and most likely pretty soon as I am pretty sure I know what i can do to improve on them in camera. These didn't take a heck of a lot of work in post, but I really only shot these as a test before tearing down from another project I was working on. I kind of love the concept now and need to give it it's due in the future.

The FRA geometry car test extra is southbound on MassDOT's ex New Haven Cape Main heading toward Hyannis. They are passing the osprey nest in the marsh as they roll over Bridge Creek near MP 70. The 5 car train bracketed between rebuilt F40PH-3C 1028 and unrebuilt -2C 1036 was operated by a Keolis crew from Boston with a Mass Coastal pilot between Middleboro and Hyannis.
