Running as G013 on this day, the track Geometry train heads east from Grand Rapids behind ex MARC GP40WH #9969. Always cool to see this odd Geep, which was part of a group that were rebuilt by MKM from Conrail GP40s in the 1980s using cabs from ex BN F45s and radiator sections from SD45s.

An exercise in seeing light and shapes.
I'm in the middle of painting and have removed the window coverings, furniture is in the middle of the room covered with drop cloths. I love morning light and when I walked by the room this morning I couldn't help but see this because it was so striking in shape.

Happy Fence Friday!
Oft shot location in downtown Tacoma for obvious reasons, crazy cool architecture and I've never been able to find out the inspiration for the flying elevator there, but I'm glad for it. :)
I would like to thank everyone for their warm wishes yesterday, I hesitated for days on what I'd say and in the end the whole story seemed appropriate. Tonia says thanks as well. I would like to reiterate that her prognosis is extremely good, oh, and she spoke to her Doc yesterday and she will not need a third surgery and probably will get radiation rather than chemo. yay!
