West of Brighton centre, with a view of the ruins of West Pier | Seen here in the early 2000s, only a few years after the fire of autumn 2000. Now known as the "old pier". After a respectful interval, Palace Pier to the east was since renamed Brighton Pier.

in a moment of stillness amidst an architectural marvel, a solitary figure walks under the vast, elliptical opening of the structure, dwarfed by its scale. the interplay of shadows and reflections creates a dramatic pattern across the curved facade, where lines intersect in a dance of light and geometry. the minimalistic composition and high contrast in black and white elevate the scene to a visual symphony, capturing a fleeting moment in a space that feels both immense and intimate. it's a study of scale, solitude, and the silent dialogue between human and architecture.
Pointed tip of a commemorative street fixture (commemorating inauguration of drainage ducts, decades ago!) with pointed tip of street light lined up in front.
Marbles for Macro Mondays, borrowed from a friend, placed on a black pizza plate, Villeroy & Boch, series Manufacture Rock. For the light sun, through a metal plate for grilling.
The main challenge, was to place the marbles onto to the plate, somehow equidistant from each other, in a straight line, put no parallel to the lens, to get some dept of field. Last but the grill plate into a magic clamp, adjust the plate for the right hot spot, camera to tripod and take some photos.
If you look carefully, there are different reflections and hot spots on the marbles.

The Toorji Ka Jhalra was constructed in the 1740s by the queen-consort of Maharaja Abhay Singh, and features detailed sandstone carvings. Notably, the Jodhpur Stepwell had been buried for years and only recently underwent a restoration to return it to its former glory. The primary function of the structure was to provide a reliable water source during the dry seasons. It also served as a communal gathering point and still does.

Per wikipedia: The Cable Bridge, officially called the Ed Hendler Bridge and sometimes called the Intercity Bridge, spans the Columbia River between Pasco and Kennewick in southeastern Washington as State Route 397. It was constructed in 1978 and replaced the Pasco-Kennewick Bridge, an earlier span built in 1922 and demolished in 1990.
The bridge was the first in the United States to use a 'cable-stayed' design and is constructed almost entirely of prestressed concrete. The bridge towers were constructed first, with the bridge deck, which was cast in individual segments, raised up and secured to each other. (Pasco Area IMG_2953.jpg)
