Happy Macro Monday to everyone. This week's submission has been one of the easiest in terms of processing time: no focus stacks, no mirror to clean up, all very straight forward compared with my other recent submissions!
I placed this stack of 21 coloured pencils (a pack of 24 from Sainsbury's for 60p!) on a piece of black fibre-board and used a pair of black mobile phones to stop the tower from collapsing (which is why the bottom row are all 'points down' rather than 'flats down'). Another sheet of black fibre-board acted as a backdrop. Natural, diffused window light was the only source of illumination. One image processed exclusively in Lightroom this week and comprised only global settings as follows:
Tone Group: Exp +0.3, contrast +21, shadows -100, whites +27, Blacks -100.
Presence Group: Clarity +48, Vibrance +67.
Region Group: Highlights +48, Lights -66, Darks -65 and Shadows -100. The tone curve histogram sliders were set to 15, 36 and 78.
Finally, I added some sharpening. And that's it.
Thank you to everyone who views, faves and comments.
The image shows a modern building with a curved metal facade and blue reflective glass windows. The blue sky can be seen in the background. The image is taken from a low angle, which makes the building look even more imposing.

I made this photo about 3 years ago inside the Perot Museum of Nature and Science, downtown Dallas. It's from a video on a huge screen and I was surprised it turned out! The photo club I am a member of has had a challenge to post geometric shapes. I have had one member tell me these are neons. True?
Thanks to all who comment or favorite; it is always appreciated!
I took this abstract photo of a wall panel, focusing on the interplay of light and shadows. The clean lines and geometric shapes create a minimalist composition that highlights the subtle variations in color and texture. This image reminds me of the beauty in everyday objects when seen from a different perspective. The simplicity and symmetry evoke a sense of calm and balance.
Thank you for viewing! If you like this photo, don't forget to favorite it and follow for more!
During a light snow i noticed snowflakes in different shapes falling on a black car. Tried to take a quick photo of them with my Pixel Phone.

Two flash guns has been used in this photo from behind to light the background and to freeze the motion of the water.
Every element in this photo is real and the colour is as captured by the camera. The clouds I took from my last visit to Isle of Wight. Minor enhancements and dust busting have been done in Lightroom 3
To date this has been my most complicated macro/close up photo.
Please let me know what you think. Comments and suggestions welcome.

本週主題是「幾何圖形」,我非常喜歡竹編的器物,有一種古樸感,編製時,也大量使用幾何圖形。

walking through the narrow paths between the stelae, light filters through as she moves – slow, contemplative, caught between the present and the past. the lines are sharp and rigid, like the history they represent, yet a moment of humanity lingers softly in her stillness, as if she herself becomes part of the memory this monument preserves. a walk through stone, but also through layers of time.

This wrought-iron work is part of the exterior of a building containing up-market serviced offices (or business centre, if you prefer) at 4-5 Park Place, St James's in central London.
An advertising blurb for the building states: ...hidden gem located in a quiet cul-de-sac on the Mayfair, St James's border in the prime West End. The impressive white exterior leads into a welcoming modern reception area and high-quality serviced offices arranged over five floors. The business centre also benefits from three meeting rooms and touchdown facilities on the lower ground floor. A range of offices and suites are available to suit requirements of 1-20 desks.
I always thought touchdown facilities were end-zones on American football pitches but apparently it is modern business-speak for small spaces (sometimes enclosed) that provide internet access for on-the-go laptop users.
The building reflected in the window is part of the St James's Hotel and Club that I featured in an earlier post.
