So many times I see people taking selfies and the smile vanishes immediately afterwards. Not so in this case.

Um impressionante exemplo de como é possível ser feliz com tão pouco.
I was so excited taking this picture because I always wondered what the sample would look like.....the picture was taken at the kennedy space centre. the small sample is 3.7 billion years old and is suspended in glass... it was taken without tripod or flash
Shot this at Pottery Town, found these two kids playing around and enjoying themselves. It's always such a pleasure to capture such genuine expressions.

They arrived from behind me, stopped right in front, the child saw the camera and grinned from ear to ear.
I put together a Genuine Fractals Review. This is a great tool for increasing the size of a photo without losing many details. I'm sure many of you have tried this with Photoshop and the like, but you probably didn't know what you've been missing. After stretching in Photoshop, you may twist your head a little and say, "Yeah that looks pretty good." That's what I did for years! And then I gave this program a whirl and I was really amazed. Below are a few images from the review... but you can see all the goodies inside. Enjoy!
BTW, you can see that this "crop" above is already almost 6000 pixels across, and it was a small portion of the image below.
If you genuinely have a love for nature, this site is a hidden gem. Nestled within the 8700(+/-) acres of the official Meadowlands (with beautiful wetlands and marshes galore), visitors have the opportunity to explore and learn about the region’s natural goings on, from the vast and amazing animal life to the fascinating plant life. The great number of bird species, both migratory and resident, enables anyone who appreciates the wonders of these winged friends some exciting experiences when at Richard DeKorte Park, a quiet sanctuary, and practically a stone’s throw away from Manhattan. There are many birders and wildlife photographers who consider this area as one of their choice places to visit. A wealth of insect species is also present, each with its own unique traits that keeps things interesting, and the furry, adorable critters, such as the muskrats, groundhogs, and occasional foxes, to name a few, along with several kinds of turtles, including the large snappers provides one with endless opportunities to observe the fascinating world of nature. Contrary to common perception amongst the general populace, you will be shocked by the wildflowers (often called weeds), for they are as lovely as the popular strands. Identifying and studying about the multitude of wild species is a challenge, but it can also be quite rewarding as you gain a bit of expertise with each outing. Seasonal changes constantly offer fresh new looks . . . So, getting bored is rather difficult for the curious.
Check out some of our ALBUMS related to the Meadowlands, including Mill Creek Marsh, Richard DeKorte Park, Mill Creek Point, Carlstadt River Barge, and Laurel Hill Park.
The first picture of me wearing my new purchase, a real leather dress. I'm so glad that I bought this dress.
We tend to get a lot of bottles, cans, and fast food wrappers in our yard during 3/4 of the year, probably since our house is on the road to the town beach. Usually, by November the trash throwers have shut down for the year. But we had a very warm spell here a couple of weeks ago. So I guess I shouldn't be surprised that I spotted this hedge ornament while walking into the park one morning. By the way, that isn't our house - it's an old summer place, now part of the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center here in Waterford, which shares the small road into the beach.

Jack Bauer in a dog's life!!!
He is a Lagotto Romagnolo dog, a truffle hunter.
The Lagotto Romagnolo's origins lie in the marshlands of Northeast Italy where it was used as a sporting retriever. As these wetlands disappeared, the dogs found a new vocation - truffle sniffer.
He is an affectionate, undemanding and devoted dog. Easily trained and always eager to please, he makes an excellent companion and good watchdog. The Lagotto Romagnolo gets along well with other dogs and pets and he is also known to be very good with children.
♰ update: Jack Bauer crossed the Rainbow Bridge on March 7th, 2017
