Thanks to all my flickr friends for your support and input. You are what I'm here for, and you're greatly appreciated! Have a wonderful day.
RS2 105 sits quietly in the East Ely yard awaiting a call to duty later that afternoon. In the distance, beyond the RIP building, are the faint traces of smoke from 2-8-0 #93 which will soon be headed to the engine house, behind the photographer. The date is February 19, 2016, but it just as well could be February 1966.
Two veteran Warbonnets in proper fashion lead the Local from Longmont to Lafayette Colorado on brightly lit November day. Here the train is approaching Broomfield where the crews splice the train and place the north facing locomotive on the rear of the train for the trip up the track to Lafayette from Burns Junction. A neat process to witness for sure.
for a change: the last two days I was out hiking again ... these two chaps crosseed my way (or I did theirs?) on Alp Palfries on my ascent to Alvier.
these wonderful young ladies were waiting to go onstage for a performance and were kind enough to pose for me.
the reason for this photo, out of three photos i took, was the girl in the middle...what a warm genuine smile. it's so contagious that i can't help but smile too!

This is where I like to take coffee -- West End Coffee and Salvage. Because you never know when you might need a cat skeleton.
This has trumped the Mk1 Sierra as my favourite find of the year. I genuinely couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this parked in a supermarket car park

East Leeds Lions (20th Anniversary 2019) Easter Rally.
A yearly gathering of bikers from all over, often an interesting bunch, as you can see here, a giant of a guy!
This year, on the three day event, the object was raising money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
A jolly encounter.
Thanks, M, (*_*)

I love dressing up and feeling feminine, but I HATE seeing my manly features emerging over a poor makeup job. Every so often I'm happy enough with my own makeup to post pics with only lighting and contrast editing. This is one of those times. I hope you like it.
I took this picture when my daughter was watching TV in my room. She just smiles as soon as I told her I was taking a picture of her.
I processed the picture with a warm tone intentionally.

The Mount Emily Shay pulls a photo freight on the City of Prineville Railway in February 1995. This overpass spans US 26, about two miles northwest of downtown Prineville, Oregon.
Based on my yellow Ford Capri mk1 I built this Capri RS2600. Although I think this version isn't as easy recocnizable as the yellow one, I'm a bit happier with it. The wheels are a better fit in terms of size and especially the rear of the car looks better without the bumper.
Again the model is 7 studs wide, so kind of minifig-scale.
Like always I only used genuine LEGO parts, no cutting, no glue, no painting.
Visiter passing the late comedian, Eric Morecambe's statue on the seafront of his home town, Morecambe, Lancashire.
The guy had been taking some close ups of Eric so I hung back - keeping my fingers crossed - then hey, presto!
