In all my years of photography, one genre I had not previously explored is woodland photography. Stepping into this new realm feels like entering a hidden world, where soft sounds and dappled light quietly draw you in. Capturing the forest’s magic demands patience and an eye for detail amid the natural chaos. Rain droplets clinging to leaves, thick moss draped over branches, shadows stretching across the forest floor as sunlight pierces the canopy—all these elements shape the scene. Colours shift constantly, from vibrant greens to deep autumn hues, each frame capturing a calm, alive moment and revealing the rainforest’s timeless beauty.

‘Art of pruning’. Still life, not a genre I’ve any claim to being any good at - arranging bowls of fruit or flowers is not my thing! However, I rather like this patch of concrete by the Caravan Port might well be featuring again in the future. Hope your W/End is going well and you’ve not succumb to the wretched Corona virus!! Stay fit & well, Alan:-)…..
366 - I’ve decided to do this to force me to pick up a camera other than when we are away on our travels (they will be posted as normal) - I will be interested to see what transpires, they will be varied I’m sure so we’ll see where inspiration takes me over the course of the year, hopefully at the end of it I will be a better photographer. Feel free to critique as you see fit, but please don’t feel obliged, I anticipate they will not be to all tastes. Have a great year and if you also have embarked on a 365 project then good luck in seeing it through, Alan:-)

The drive from Yellowston Lake to the town of Cody, Wyoming is intersesting. The Absaroka Range, 43.7 - 53 million year old volcanic chain, has some very interesting features. On a hill of travertine (precursor to marble), Mamoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone National Park, we are looking across Main Terrace towards Canary Spring, which vents in the distance. This is the largest known carbonate depositing spring in the world. All the photos I present were taken in the town of Taormina (Sicily);
I made photos related to "street photography";
I photographed people who, for the most part, I had never met before, I thank them for their sympathy and availability;
I tried to capture the essence of minimal photographic stories, collected walking down the street ... in search of fleeting moments ...
For some photographs I used a particular photographic technique at the time of shooting, which in addition to capturing the surrounding space, also "inserted" a temporal dimension, with photos characterized by being moved because the exposure times were deliberately lengthened, they are confused -focused-imprecise-undecided ... the Anglo-Saxon term that encloses this photographic genre with a single word is "blur", these images were thus created during the shooting phase, and not as an effect created subsequently, in retrospect, in the post-production.
---------------------------------------------------------
Tutte le foto che presento sono state realizzate nella cittadina di Taormina (Sicilia);
ho realizzato foto riconducibili alla “street photography”;
ho fotografato persone che, per la maggior parte, non avevo mai incontrato prima, le ringrazio per la loro simpatia e disponibilità;

Even today, this is the largest dome made of concrete and has been the largest dome ever for the vast majority of its 2,000 year history. The dome features sunken panels (coffers), in five rings of 28. This evenly spaced layout was difficult to achieve and, it is presumed, had symbolic meaning, either numerical, geometric, or lunar.[56][57] In antiquity, the coffers may have contained bronze stars, rosettes, or other ornaments. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pantheon,_Rome
