Greenpeace activists dressed as "GMO monster crops" are blocked by security from entering the Department of Agriculture. Greenpeace together with other concerned organizations are demanding the Philippine government to "stop GMO invasion" by cancelling all commercialization and field trials of genetically-modified organisms in the country.
The Department of Agriculture, responsible for regulating GMOs, has never denied approval for any GMO crop. Greenpeace contends that GMOs are dangerous to human health, biodiversity and farmers’ livelihoods.

This novel covers the same ground as Spielberg's Disclosure Day but with a different tone, more like "Is this really happening or am I actually in an insane asylum?" A little more humor than Disclosure Day, similar child abductions and transhuman transformations, more conspiracy theories explored, and the setting is Los Angeles. Trevor frequently wakes up from weird abduction dreams, but when the UFO he’s dreaming he’s in is actually shot down by the military, he learns that he’s been an abductee since childhood and that government agencies will not tolerate crash survivors or escapees from deep underground bases. At the heart of the story is the relationship between Trevor and a beautiful young woman about whom he doesn’t know very much and who may be a government-agency operative. Trevor learns that there are numerous hostile alien races who are committed to preventing Earth’s Ascension to membership in the galactic community. The central characters, a group of friends who share an interest in UFOs, unexpectedly learn that the activation of transhuman abilities embedded in their DNA is linked to the approach of the Ascension.

For the workshop, we were set free to take four swabs of surfaces that we would later grow in a petri dish. I swabbed "splotches of my past", located around the ACE Base: Margaret's vomit-stain, a slick residue of drained tuna-water, and a spit-spooge-splotch on the front door.
