This past spring, the Elizabeth Public Schools received a generous donation from Mr. James C. Kellogg IV that enabled students to participate in the Student Spaceflight Experiments Program (SSEP). Teams of students from eleven schools participated in the competition and designed experiments that could be conducted in microgravity – the weightlessness experienced inside an orbiting spacecraft. The three finalists from George Washington Academy No. 1, Jerome Dunn Academy No. 9, and Christopher Columbus School No. 15 presented their experimental proposals and shared their program experiences with Mr. Kellogg this past week in School No. 9’s Teach-To-One room. They also presented Mr. Kellogg with an award expressing the district’s gratitude for his generosity and commitment to EPS.

cypheroftyr: femhype: Art Jobs: We Want to Commission You! Recently, an exceedingly generous FemHype reader surprised us with a monetary donation in the midst of quite a few changes happening on our end. We’re working hard to bring all of you super amazing friends not only more content, but new content on an array of different social media platforms! (All of what we’re covering so far can be found in the sidebar on the left.) It’s a tough job keeping a safe space like this one up and running, but feedback and support from our community makes it so worth it. That’s where your help comes in! In the interest of keeping all this awesome momentum going, we’re excited to offer an opportunity to any interested artists currently following our community. We’re looking to commission an artist for a FemHype branding project. That means you’ll be helping to bring our official design to life! If chosen, your work will be featured in a blog post, boosted on all our social media platforms, and given full credit so that everyone knows who to commission for their own art. Plus, we’re going to pay you for your hard work. Sound like your kind of thing? Then you’ve come to the right place! *Please note: we won’t be asking you to create new art for the site until after we’ve chosen you! Don’t break out your proverbial pen yet, okay? Read more about this opportunity and information regarding our submissions process after the jump~ ✌ Continue reading⇥ Reblogging for all my art type friends!
