During shipment back from Germany the engine was not secured properly and the two threaded holes for attaching the generator cover got stripped.

Turbines inside wheels capture energy
Magne Generator has developed a process that utilizes turbines inside wheels to harnesses brake power and store the energy for on-board applications. When a vehicle using the Magne Generator technology is in motion or braking, the turbines store energy. They have adapted the process to work with 10 inch wheels, used in golf carts and other smaller vehicles, reducing need for maintenance on these vehicles, and they don't need to be recharged as often.
David, who has 30 years experience in the electric industry, initially started the company while looking at innovative ways to make wind turbines more efficient.
The future David hopes there will be a replacement for smaller, gas based vehicles. There are also a number of applications for Magne Generator, including use in military and emergency response vehichles.
Cleantech Open is providing them additional visibility mentoring to develop a business plan and the opportunity to win prizes and funding.
This must be a typical sight in and around Lagos and maybe the rest of Nigeria. During my visit, I noticed that power is generated locally (very locally - outside commercial buildings).
