Parked here during the downtown power outage. I guess there must have been a generator in the van, powering the traffic lights.

Stengths of HEYA Inverter Generator
1.By right of inverter, output frequency of altermating current doesen't rely on speed of an engine. So, an engine can rise over 5000rpm.
2.In comparison with the generator that have the same rate of work, inverter generator has less engine displacement, and it possesses other properties including small body, lightly weight, precious and portable designation.
3.Output altermating voltage and frequency stabilization.
4.Under the inverter control, safety performance is enhanced.
5.(Decrease) Less fuel consumption.
6.Less noise, environment protection and more practical property.
Basic functions:
Low oil alert
Overload protection
Short circuit protection
Certification:
CE (European)
2013 August 22: Mike Solari (L) and Chef get one of Ed's severely Playafied Honda generators working again. Starter fluid made short work of the problem.
Generator frame I built up for a guy who was 4x4'ing his motorhome just a little too much, and knocked the original generator frame off. I built the new one out of 3" x 3/8 square tube, with 2 3/8"x6" custom bent skids on the bottom so he wouldn't catch all this on anything. Ran into him at the post office the other day, he said it's workin' good so far! May 2011

"Art Generator," 2007
Jamie Allen
Wood, Metal & Electricity
Electronic art is powered art. Plugging into the grid is like growing a systemic appendage - a phantom limb - that makes complicit in a host of activities never seen nor mentioned in work descriptions or catalogues. What would electronic art veer toward if we explicitly freed it from this burden?
For the "Art Generator" project, I have constructed a human-powered generator, and asked electronic artists to create pieces to consume the generated electricity. These pieces will be created, added, removed and interconnected over the duration of the show, as an ecosystem of electron-using creative work and workers. Power is only available, that is, the art is only generated, when an interested interlocutor puts their own energy into the pieces.
