This was a generator system from a B&O Railway car that met it's demise this spring. There was a belt that hooked up to the spool you see in the foreground, back to the larger spool on the truck axle.

Acetylene generator. This was high tech when it was installed in the basement of this old farmhouse about 113 years ago. Used to generate gas which was piped all over the house for gas lighting. Guess they had to be mighty careful so as not to turn the house into a super nova.
This wagon accompanies the Wasp personnel carrier. It transports the tools and if necessary a generator set to power Kango hammers, etc. It is in the works for a new deck and general refurbishment.

Lamp housing has been removed - photocell housing doesn't want to come off. Use of WD-40 indicated. The red wire appears to be a means of disconnecting the lamp.
