To the right, in battleship grey, the 071 class from the late 1970's & still going strong on various frieght duties up & down the country, represented above by 076.
To the left, Irish Rail 201 class, operating since the mid 1990's, found on both passenger & freight services, 232 seen above in standard Irish Rail livery.

Columbia Basin rr awaits the typically tardy BNSF with their interchange traffic, while a BNSF rack train slips by.
The generation gap of locos from the 1957 built SD9 to the 2014 built gevo is an attests to the old school build quality.

A new generation of trees on the shore of the Nipisiquit River near Pabineau Falls in New Brunswick.
Another of the USAF's latest 5th generation fighter tearing up the low-fly recently.
This particular jet is the 495th FS 'Valkyries' flagship, with only a few hours of flight time on the clock - leading a pair, mixed with another pair.
Watching these work together so seamlessly is proving badass to watch down low - for a Squadron that has newly reactivated they're certainly nailing it straight off the bat.

A meeting of three generations of trains at Most station (Bulgaria). On the left the modern Siemens Desiro unit is serving the regular morning service from Kardzhali to Dimitrovgrad, while on the right diesel locomotive 07 124 assists to steam loco 03.12 with a charter train for railway enthusiasts.

Santa Cruz Mountains, California
Three generations of redwood tree, an old tree that has fallen, a mature tree standing straight and tall, and a green sapling.
This was photographed in Big Basin Redwoods State Park before the lightning induced fires of August 2020 burned 97% of the park. Most of the mature redwoods will likely survive; they have adapted to periodic forest fires.
