Another result from my initial attempts to deconstruct a horse. I did not find everything I expected and found some things that I had not expected, which is more or less how I prefer things to go.

The sunset was rather dramatic today after the torrential downpour, resulting in quite a spectacular 'orange hour'.
Won the first prize in the iLight Marina Bay photography competition, under the student's category.
Black card technique; 25s for foreground, 10s for sky.
Single-exposure; not a blended/HDRI/GND-filtered image.
I had never been to or drove by Gem, Alberta, before today. While on my way by on the highway South of here, I saw this old beauty and since the beginning of my afternoon was with elevators at Sharples, Kirkpatrick, and Dorothy, I figured why not take a very slight detour to get a couple of this one.
Luckily, another photographer on Flickr met the owner in 2010 and was able to provide this information.
It was built in 1904 at Countess, Alberta. In 1972 it was one of the first elevators closed and moved 16 miles away to just south of Gem where it has resided ever since. This elevator is still used for active grain storage. The lack of available replacement parts forced Mr. Plett to convert the leg to electric power in 2009.

I have driven by Meadow Fork Falls many times and didn't even know. I really enjoyed shooting this less popular waterfall and it was definitely worth the short off trail hike.

My first go at gems. The paper wasn't fabulous, sadly, which made it a bit harder than it might have been. They are, however, a great excuse to buy better coloured pencils.
The new black latex dolly with the red rubber latex hair has named her self = Im shiny-Moniree's latex dolly (xandra10101). There are many of my shiny fans who have named them selfs such nice names like this for the love of me tee he :) Im so sexy shiny and you know it :3
This dolly is new to latex land and a new shiny rubberdolly toy for me :) When looking about latex land said said she with give me all the shiny things and gems she could so she gone on a epic journey, through latex jungles, rubbery desert, and across shiny seas to she found this great big latex cave filled with all kinds of shiny gems :) So she came back on a pink and purple latex pony to see shiny me in my shiny glossy latex palace and told me about it. I want it all to my shiny self and the pony to :3 So i had it all :3

Another new moth for my village shop wall in Empingham, Rutland, which has been there for the last two days. The Gem moth is a migrant (immigrant) to our shores in the UK and is quite rare/uncommon to the Leicestershire and Rutland area, so i was very pleased to have it visit us in Empingham and this one i believe to be a male of the species.
