Here you can see the upper part of the mobo, including the CPU heatsink/fan, graphics card and RAM in situ. Two large 120mm fans provide ample cooling.
The CPU is an Intel Core2Duo E8400, with 2 cores at 3.0Ghz each and a total of 6MB L2 cache. It's built on a 45nm process, and runs very cool (typically 39C under load). It has 410m transistors (most of which is cache), giving me over 1.1B transistors on my GPU and CPU alone.
I could have gone for a Quad-core CPU, but the 45nm quads aren't out yet, and I don't do enough video processing to warrant spending the extra cash for a quad-core.
I haven't overclocked much yet; although I did play around a bit and got the CPU to 3.5Ghz at default voltages.

The card was having stability problems even in 2d mode, so after popping it out to see what was up I found this bulging capacitor that was about to blow.
