It's an amazing machine! I purchased this because I was able to use the 'back to school sale' they had several weeks ago.
Prior to posting this, I've been using this machine for about 2 hours (after setting up and doing all those cleaning plus sorting the wires out). I just love the comfortable experience I'm getting out of this set up. I'd have to say that this is the best investment I've ever made.
The Windows Experience Index Rating doesn't look that impressive, huh? Oh well. But from what I know, the Dell XPS 9100 is easily upgradeable. It has so much room! This thing stands at 19 inches and weighs nearly 50lbs - it's cramped right now, so I will probably need to buy a new desk soon.
My plan is to upgrade the graphics card. It's the only thing that is slightly behind in terms of all these hardwares. Any suggestion? I'll probably pick up an ATI Radeon HD 5750...? We'll see.
This thing is my happiness! It's so quiet... Actually, I don't even hear anything from it. It's just perfect... It is a little expensive and I was worried for a while shortly after my purchase. However, right now, I know for sure that it is worth every penny.

One of the dino's you see both from the waiting area as well from the hyper coaster Expedition GeForce. No idea what's in his mouth.
Dino Splash is a rapid river ride built by Intamin and opened in the year 1984. Till the year 2019 this rapid river ride was called Donnerfluss. The ride has a lenght of 500 meters and the theme has everything to do with dinosaures.
Plopsaland Deutschland
Plopsaland Deutschland is an amusement park in Haßloch, Germany. It is one of Germany's most popular theme parks (receiving about a million visitors per year) and is part park and part woodland. Its Free Fall Tower was the first amusement ride of its kind in Europe. The Park also offers several roller coasters, including Expedition GeForce, water rides, and live shows.
In 1971 the Schneider family bought the Märchenwald Hloch. The park was renamed Holiday Park in 1973 and changed to "Holiday Park Plopsa" in 2012, after takeover by the Plopsa group. Initially, the surface area of the park covered 70,000 m², but today the surface area has grown to 400,000 m².
In November 2010, Holiday Park and Plopsa announced that Holiday Park had been purchased by Studio 100 as a new extension of the theme park chain.
Expedition GeForce has been consistently remained in the top ten of the "Golden Ticket Awards: Top Steel Roller Coasters" as well as the top three in the "Mitch Hawker's Best Roller Coaster Poll: Best Steel-Tracked Roller Coaster" since opening in 2001.
As part of a 5-year plan to transform the park into a multi-day resort Plopsa will invest €65 million by 2025. Within the park they will open a 2500m2 water-playground in 2023, adjacent to the themed area The Beach. The playground will be copied from Plopsa's Majaland Kownaty in Poland, with a cost of € 3,5 million. The ski stunt show will be replaced in 2024 by a Tomorrowland themed area, similar to Plopsaland in Belgium, with an investment of ⬠15 million. In 2024 a 350 bed hotel will be constructed next to the entrance of the park.

Fed up with the fan noise on the stock heatsink / fan on the newly acquired, el-cheapo Leadtek WinFast PX6200TD PCI-E VGA card, I ripped it out, modified a Socket 478 Pentium 4 heatsink, and installed the new heatsink onto the card in a Frankenstein fashion.
Originally I intended to run it fanless, but the subsequent overclocking and cross-flashing to nVidia GeForce 6600 forced me to install a fan to cut down on the visual artifacts due to overheating. This old Inspiron 580s was part of my home theater system (boxee alpha then XBMC then SteamOS). It came with a oem Geforce 310. The box now runs Google Deep Dream processing on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS. Early reports are coming up that as amazing as the GTX 1080 Founders Edition is, it perhaps is not as good as the MSI GTX 1080 Gaming X. MSI tends to push cards a bit more aggressively as an OEM should. So the question is less about which is better, but what works for you the gamer. MSI version of the Nvidia card is meant to be pro gamer in the sense that there is a much more of focus on creating an experience that refreshes what Nvidia is doing.
