30/04/2005, Badger, California.

As we rounded a bend in our big, brand new Dodge Magnum, we saw this local rodeo in full swing. I couldn't let it pass, so pulled over to gape at it.

We were spotted by some partygoers who waved us over, yelling to us in, errr, English, as we yelled back to them in a different kind of English.

Once they realised we were 'foreigners' they invited us in to the most memorable event of the trip. Super hosts who plied us with beer and food while we plied them with questions about the rodeo.

Simply wonderful people.
