Its so strange how I go back through photos and find some gems. Well this wasnt picked to get in a trendy magazine so I thought I would put it up. 3 stone-coped gables with ball and obelisk finials; the 2 bays to left each have 3 windows with transom and stone mullions; right-hand bay has splayed bay window; semi-circular arched doorway with hood mould and 6-panelled divided door; stone cornice,at 1st floor and eaves; brick frieze with "Derby Gas Light and Coke Co" in raised lettering.

All is quiet in Gaslight Village on and early December morning, Not many people were around in the morning. It was like a ghost town.

A really excellent place - and just as good on a winter visit. The restored bakers shop really does sell cakes - and has gas lighting .
