flame for Macromonday

These sunflower are some of the flowers my wife received for her birthday from her brother and sister in law,

From early morning to late at night, it's such an interesting life, and I'm healthy and free, and that's not so easy with a family.

Macro Mondays theme One Word. The name on the back of my gas stove.

I spotted this kettle and gas stove on the camping site at Daan Viljoen Game Park. It looked so homely and welcoming…

Have a relaxing Sunday, everyone!

I love my gas stove, and it's flame is more welcoming than a larger fire when it is 93 degrees and 90% humidity outdoors. And the thunderstorms that came through weren't conducive for a fire outdoors either. Fire--for Flickr Friday

The little specialty shops in the Mardin bazaar were endlessly fascinating for the glimpses they gave into the local culture and food. Flickr Friday theme, “Ring”, my image projects a comparison to Ring of fire, which in this instance is a gas stove that allows us to cook, prepare and warm our meals, the flames dance away, and create their own ring, it is a tag only, not forgetting how terrifying an element fire is, especially at a critical time right now when our planet is threatened by global warming, and the recent fires in the rainforest which destroys the very heart of our planet….the image is only for Flickr Friday’s theme, and nothing else!!

My guy and I decided to make this Mediterranean Goat Cheese Salad from the BC Liquor Stores magazine this evening.

It turned out amazing. I've never had it before and I loved it.

It was perfectly warm and gooey on organic mixed greens.

We never took a photo of the finished product as we were so excited to taste it and chow down....

Dinner at this Kitchen is an occasion, and most restaurants of its kind... think that small restaurant in rural Parati should operate in a certain way.

This is part of the kitchen our friend's house. You know, the ones who live here

. Yeah, they've been doing some serious renovations to their home built in the 1880's, and the kitchen is my favorite.

When one egg is not enough.

I've been in the mood to take portraits, but am getting over a cold and have to settle for recovering and taking photos of what is available in my room.
