Frankey Street Art is giving the city of Amsterdam little often unremarkable surprises. Every week a photo with one of his recent works appears in the supplement to the newspaper Het Parool. A great opportunity to take a closer look at his work. Sometimes you have to search to find it and sometimes it is already gone.
Frankey also participated in KAAPSTAD TILBURG, an art festival in Tilburg for which he made this year 7 art objects.
I was lucky to find all seven!

Street Art Frankey
Street Art Frankey (pseudonym of Frank de Ruwe) is a Dutch artist who wants to positively influence the street scene with relatively small and often inconspicuous works of art.
He grew up in Nijmegen, father was an inventor at Philips Netherlands. He studied at Delft University of Technology (Industrial design). In daily life director of and working for design collective Natwerk. In Amsterdam, many of his works in the street art category can be found on buildings, streets and bridges, often in addition to existing building elements. He himself about his work;
"I want to push boundaries. Art has no boundaries, that's why I like it so much."
In 2019, a special page has been dedicated to his art in Het Parool for a number of years; first he took care of that section himself, later he had to leave that work to others because of busy work. A little later his work Eberhard van der Laan appeared above the entrance of Paradiso.
One of the works that inspired him is the Boomzagertje in the Leidsebosje, a work by an as yet unknown artist.

Walibi Fright Nights 2018
Walibi Fright Night is an annual event in Walibi Holland and very popular. Walibi Holland is is the decor of the Halloween Fright Nights. With scary zones like Eddie’s Area, Pirate’s Cove, Quarantine, Campsite of Carnage and Firepit, Twisted Hellfire, Game Over and Things. Full of special scary entertainment and actors, scary music and sounds, smoke, fire and mist.
Besides that there are 6 haunted houses to visit. Below, The Clinic, Haunted Hollidays, Jefferson Manor, Psychoshock and The Villa. Most of the rides and roller coasters are open during fright nights. The park is open till 23h during the most busy days and nights of the year. ‘Enter if you dare’ is the slogan of 2018. This is exactly what happens when video game characters are "GAME OVER". In this hallucinating scary area, people encounter the most famous figures in the world of video games. It is a matter of survival in this zone. Or else 'game over'.
Walibi Fright Nights 2017
Walibi Fright Night is an annual event in Walibi Holland and very popular. In 2017 in total 12 days (October 7, 8, 13, 14, 15, 19, 20, 21, 22, 27, 18 and 29) Walibi Holland is is the decor of the Halloween Fright Nights. With scary zones like Eddie’s Area, Pirate’s Cove, Quarantine, Campsite of Carnage and Firepit, Twisted Hellfire, Game Over and Things. Full of special scary entertainment and actors, scary music and sounds, smoke, fire and mist.
Besides that there are 6 haunted houses to visit. Below, The Clinic, Haunted Hollidays, Jefferson Manor, Psychoshock and The Villa. Most of the rides and roller coasters are open during fright nights. The park is open till 23h during the most busy days and nights of the year. ‘Evil is here’ is the slogan of 2017. Happy chills!
