A court in Ecuador has found Chevron guilty of massive environmental pollution and human rights violations in the Amazon, and has ordered the company to pay $8 billion to clean it up. But Chevron has vowed to appeal the decision, and clearly plans to stall indefinitely, hoping never to pay its due. So the Change Chevron team got together with our friends and allies at Amazon Watch, Greenpeace, Global Exchange, and Communities for a Better Environment (of Richmond, CA) headed down to Chevron’s HQ in San Ramon, CA, and delivered a message to the company: Chevron was found guilty because the company is guilty. Time to accept responsibility and clean up the oily mess in Ecuador!

I love nuts of all kinds especially almonds and cashews. I can't stop eating them once I start especially if I have an ice cold beer to wash them down with. Almonds are good for your heart right? Happy Macro Monday.

Dust Bunny Flower Garland Curtain
Charlie, 11 weeks old, and totally orally fixated. He was only at it for a spilt second, but I wanted to capture that expression before I scooped him up and distracted him from eating the plants.
During a recent get away for a change of scenery, we paid a visit to Hansel & Gretel's chocolate shop in downtown Helen.
We visit here occasionally and Hansel & Gretel is high on the "To Do" list while there. Here is just a sampling of the goodies I walked away with.
It was the end of Octoberfest so the crowds were still there but that didn't slow us down - too many shops and restaurants to check out while there!

Thoughts on the lonely ranch....
Do hummers have conscience's? Do they go to Heaven ? If not how does a hummingbird sin ? If they're not in Heaven do I want to be there ? Ever looked at the word Con - Science ?
What do they think about all day ? Do they worry about heart attacks with heart beats of 1,200 per MINUTE !?! Since they live 4 to 6 years and supposedly can remember the location of good flowers do they see my Ranch with it's 18 feeders as Heaven ? Does that make me a God to them ? And most of all where the hell do they all go to sleep (hibernate) every night?
Ummm...back to cooking up and distributing another daily 2.5 gallon pot of sweet nectar........

My guilty pleasure is my ever expanding collection of saltwater corals. This is a mushroom coral that I got for free because it was "dead". Clearly it was not dead as it is now 6" across and my clownfish lives underneath it.
