Macro Mondays Guilty Pleasure Theme

I like sitting in a cafe with a cup of tea listening to the muffled voices around me.

At Newport Wetlands Centre cafe there are wall to wall windows that overlook a lake with many visiting birds.

For Macro Mondays'theme of the week.

I feel a bit guilty when I spend so much time looking through my lenses, playing with gadgets like this glass ball on the photo and spending another great amount of time in front of my computer, processing or looking at my contacts photos. But a pleasure it is, that's for sure.

A study for this weeks Macro Mondays theme, "Guilty Pleasure..."

Glenmorangie Scotch in a small tulip-shaped dessert wine glass. Speedlight in 3-foot softbox acting as a scrim.

While I am pleased with the technical aspects, including the pour, I feel that the image doesn't read as Scotch but wine, due to the shape of the glass...

PS - I finally decided to go with the high key concept here...

The surveillance tapes showed he was guilty of his crime of breaking and entering!! Being that this was his first offence I let him off with just a time out...:))

I actually left the door a jar when getting something out of my car and this little guy snuck in to make himself at home to my surprise!! Corn chips was the only way to lure him out which then made him think he was my new best friend and wouldn't leave!!

Our severe macaw, Brooks, likes to play with an old shirt- he will hide in it and loves to be wrapped up in it! :)

Judge Jasper has these little fantasies about getting back at us for not giving him a constant stream of treats.

Every once in a while, I purchase a small bag of these Ghirardelli chocolate squares. Mint and raspberry filled are my favorites. The chocolate square measures 1.25" both ways. HMM, everyone ! !
