After a long absence, nearly two months, I finally found something by the sticker artist 101 again. I like this one because, like me, 101 is also getting older. If you don't know what this is about, click here www.flickr.com/photos/28289142@N00/sets/72157600201686364/ which will either explain everything or nothing.
Do you remember the 1950s show "Bet Your Life" with Groucho Marx and the famous secret words? That's what that piece of tin reminded me of.
Title is a quote by Groucho Marx.
I think Carpet of the sun is the perfect song to share with this photo.
After sorting through a crate of delicious looking watermelons, I came across this poor guy who seemed to have no hope that anyone would pick him... just because he looked different. He looked so sad....but now he has a home.... at least temporarily!
Special thanks to Groucho Marx (1890-1977) who amongst many memorable quotes once remarked, "Time flies like an arrow; Fruit flies like Bananas."

It is not how much we have, but how much we enjoy, that makes happiness. - Charles Spurgeon
Be happy for this moment. This moment is your life. - Omar Khayyam
I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn't arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I'm going to be happy in it. -

I read that Abe Lincoln was a big fan of jokes- I thought he would really appreciate Groucho Marx.
I hope he doesn't mind me sitting on his hat.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=qSabiG8q8-k&list=PL514B7D4578... When the tiny nation of Freedonia goes bankrupt, its wealthy benefactor, Mrs. Teasdale (Margaret Dumont), insists that the wacky Rufus T. So sad about Robin Williams, it is a gross understatement to say that he will be greatly missed. But I hope he and Groucho will have a great time together.

Don't you like to change place to your books from time to time? I love to go over them and think "I could re-read this one, after all"...
A little break from my happiness project, but I'm still into it:D

― Groucho Marx
In this case, I think he was wrong..found this very old bloom just as beautiful and interesting as the young fresh ones
“The trouble with writing a book about yourself is that you can’t fool around. If you write about someone else, you can stretch the truth from here to Finland. If you write about yourself the slightest deviation makes you realize instantly that there may be honor among thieves, but you are just a dirty liar.” Groucho Marx
Groucho Marx "Quotes" for Our Daily Challenge
The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.

Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, diagnosing it incorrectly and applying the wrong remedies.

Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️❤️❤️
so i have the flu and what seems to be the worst immune system in the history of the world (part one). seriously, i've been sick every week since that snow "storm" in london. every time i think i'm on the mend, i presumptuously go out partying and set myself back. grrr. and my lips are, as you can see, vurrry chapped. these fish lips are high maintenance, i tell ya!
new york is beautiful today. i've retreated "upstate" (read: 45 minutes north of the city) to my parents' lake house. you know the one, with the killer deer and bamboo forest. it's pretty cool. the house is elevated so it's amongst the trees, in other words, a tree house. i may attempt some tarzan/jane shot later, but maybe i should recover first. or just do it without the whiskey.

I was watching Duck Soup last night and I kept getting this funny feeling that I had seen something like this before....
Talking to your mom on the phone until 2:30 in the morning?
Why, that's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard...
:oD
Just a quick shot today because, well, I've been on the phone with my mom. And it's late. Goodnight!
PS - Thank goodness for electrical tape! It gave me a moustache, some eyebrows...and a pretty decent cigar!
