Winter's Grip
The Monadnock Area Artists Association’s Winter Holiday Reception is Friday December 5, 2014 from 6-9pm at Syd's Carpet and Snooze Room, 43 Saint James Street, Keene, NH 03431. 167 new paintings and photographs (including Winter's Grip) are featured in this show! We have a wonderful singer/guitar player performing, along with wine, cheese, appetizers and goodies galore. A percentage of the sold profits will be going to the Keene Community Kitchen. The gallery is open during normal business hours 7 days a week! Hope to see you there.

Winter's grip remains pretty fierce, with temperatures remaining twenty to thirty degrees below average, well below zero at night and barely above zero in the 'heat' of the day. March is a powerful force.
It's a little hard to see, but check out those toes! They're so tiny and you can see a blood vessel beneath the skin on the one on the right. Spring peepers are a boreal frog and I can't believe something so tiny makes so much noise! OM 90mm macro at f5.6.
