Cold, Cold, Cold... At least the Sun is Shining...

Sunday! Sunday! Sunday! Message to me and the sheeps.

Worry is my prayer for things that I don't want...

Yesterday I shoveled and moved lots of soil in my wheelbarrow, planted flowers, and herbs. I wanted to take a selfie showing the wheelbarrow and my old Grateful Dead t-shirt. I went to the concert at Park West Ski Resort on August 20, 1987 - the year I graduated high school. Oh the memories...

Im Going to leave this brokedown palace,

On my hands and my knees, I will roll, roll, roll.

Make myself a bed by the waterside,

In my time,in my time, I will roll, roll, roll.

Because I carry it well, does not mean it is not heavy.

This one is for me....

The Grateful Dead played at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco 29 times from 1966 through 1969. They recorded two live albums there, "Vintage Dead" and "Historic Dead", in the autumn of 1966. Two tracks of their famous "Live/Dead" album were also recorded there in early 1969.

This print, from an early Grateful Dead/Quicksilver concert was for a Chet Helms Family Dog Show at the Avalon The amazing artwork was done by Wes Wilson. one of the leading 1960's poster artists. Wilson (1937- ) is an American artist and one of the leading designers of psychedelic posters. He is best known for designing posters for Bill Graham of The Fillmore in San Francisco. Wilson invented a style that is now synonymous with the peace movement, psychedelic era and the 1960s. In particular, he is known for inventing and popularizing a "psychedelic" font around 1966 that made the letters look like they were moving or melting. It was very common by the 1970s.

The print was photographed on display in an exhibition entitled "Summer of Love" at the de Young Fine Arts Museum in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco.
