Info graphic poster from world war one describing navy attack on hartlepools. Brilliant classic image, really informative and beautifully presented- probably a bit busy for modern taste, but a true classic.
Here's what happens in a real design class. Everyone puts their work up on the wall for everyone else to critique. It's an enlightening and scary experience. My work is the second group from the left.
The Graflex Graphic 35 was a 35mm rangefinder camera initially made by Graflex in the U.S. and later by Kowa for Graflex.
It was introduced in 1955 as a replacement for the Graflex Ciro 35. Although based on the Ciro 35's basic design, essentially every mechanical part as well as the styling was modified. The camera was focussed by push buttons located on either side of the lens, and the shutter was released by pulling outward on a lever mounted on the front of the camera body. Production ended in 1958.
The Graphic 35 was available with either an f3.5 or f2.8 lens. A Prontor SVS shutter with speeds to 1/300 was used and featured V, X, and M flash synchronization. The rangefinder was of the split image type and used a separate viewfinder from that used to compose the image.

Scarborough port.
We left home around 3 in the morning to catch the dawn at 4.30.
The roads were empty and we saw the light changing, as we got closer.
A few loners on the promenade, with doggies.
The light was gorgeous.
The air was cool and fresh.
I saw these wooden post glowing in the sun.
Alongside the quayside, they are supporting the wall.
Have a day full of peace and thank you for your comments. M, (*_*)

This was made for the PCAGOE challenge theme
for doing work with bold graphic elements. Challenging, yes, because it's not the way I'm accustomed to thinking, so it was a great exercise.
Graphic featuring lyrics from Mayday Parade's song "Priceless" and two friends. Shot in downtown Orlando, Florida.
Tomorrow, I'm running a workshop on basic graphic design skills for fourth graders. We'll be talking about and demonstrating four or five skills: hand lettering, layout, color uses, font selection, and thumbnailing. Then we'll be putting those skills to work, designing posters on how to defeat the monsters under the bed...
Many times when I am shooting or composing, I am mostly thinking of a poster design or other type of print output.
PLEASE if you're going to upload this somewhere, credit me. And ask me to use it if you can. It takes time and effort :(
