got a good view of 1 today - a juv/imm male bird came crashing in at close range . . .

Later, as i walked along the lane i met up with this one

i thought it must be a female bird, but no a male, he weighs just over 2 pound -

can you imagine being whacked by a bag of sugar (2lb) at 30mph !
