Another shot of my parents a few years before they died. Not sure which shot I prefer. this one shows my Mother's face but they seem too centered in the shot. They had no idea I was taking their picture.
The Olympus 8080z was an amazing point and shoot. I have decided to use it again. Just ordered a new battery as it still had the original battery but I was only able to get about ten shots on it per charge the other day. I read that batteries typically last 2-3 years, so this one lasted over 15 years.

A weathered wooden cross markes the final resting place of someone forgotten (or most likely never noticed) by the world.
Basking in the light of the setting sun, this mature couple enjoys their time at Pontoosuc Lake in Pittsfield, Massachusetts.
Lying flat on the ground, Kahn scimmed over me, his wing brushing me as he flew over. One of the highlights of my life, a wonderfull experience. A photography day at the Barn Owl Centre.
I followed these elderly ladies for nearly a block, and they stopped and looked in every shop window ;-)

Adding Life to Years
The elderly population are faced with numerous physical, psychological and social role changes that challenge their sense of self and capacity to live happily. Many people experience loneliness and depression in old age, either as a result of living alone or due to lack of close family ties and reduced connections with their culture of origin, which results in an inability to actively participate in the community activities. With advancing age, it is inevitable that people lose connection with their friendship networks and that they find it more difficult to initiate new friendships and to belong to new networks.
‘Healthy Ageing’ is an umbrella initiative of SCHOOL that focuses on building an age friendly ecosystem for the elderly population in India.

I took a few photos of this couple as I was walking and it was difficult to get a steady, clear shot. Even when they walked down the subway steps, they still held hands. ❤ #love #amor #oldage #goldenyears #cenasdometro #metro #london #londonunderground #o
My aunt filled in for the mother I wish I had. Now she's dead. She breathed her last on 22 May 2017 at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Hospital, Delhi. She was my best friend. The void cannot be filled by anybody ever. All I can hope is that her soul is at peace. My aunt name was Anis Fatima, but most people called her Ostani Ji (the teacher). She was not only a good teacher, but a life giver. If anybody says that I am a successful man, the credit for it goes go to her. Sorry for being absent the last few weeks.
WAAAA...SOMETIMES OLD AGE CAN DEFLATE ONE'S POSITIVE MENTAL ATTITUDE. THEN WHAT? NOTHING LIKE A BIG BINGE...to further complicate the aging process. Why not read a good book like...I'll Cry Tommorrow by Lilian Roth...
Take out protection goods this sort of as #whole_of_life_insurance_policy and critical disease go over.

This is another shot that was taken on a beautiful afternoon in late May at Sheffield Park, a National Trust Garden in East Sussex.
Like Nymans, it is an easy cab ride from the Haywards Heath Rail Station on the main line between London, Gatwick and Brighton, and makes a nice day trip out from London. Here is a link to the official National Trust site:

As a reward, top employees were treated to aerial trips from the Bata airfield at Otrokovice, where on May Day there were flying displays and pageants. It was not far from this field that Tomas Bata died on 12 July 1932 after take-off. What is interesting is that this plane is a similar one to that in which he perished, a German registered Junkers. His plane, D-1608 was in the livery of Deutsche Schuh AG of Berlin , an F13 , and was preserved in the museum at Zlin. Deutsche Schuh was the German arm of the organisation with a factory in Ottmuth , now Otmet in Polish Silesia. This one looks like D-600, which is a similar Ju F13 of 1925 , Ringeltaube, in the livery of Lufthansa I have no idea who the people are on this original photograph, but they look more important than workers in the factory. Is that the pilot on the left with the half-mast trousers? Undated, but if the plane is D-600, it crashed near Shanghai in December 1932, so must be before that.
